Browns signed WR Bobby Engram, say what?

rotoworld,

The Browns had as much need for a veteran receiver as any team in the league, but Engram is hardly the solution. The 37-year-old lasted only five games with the receiver-needy Chiefs last season, catching just five passes. Though Engram is a favorite of team president Mike Holmgren, he's a longshot to beat out Chansi Stuckey for the slot receiver job. He's far from a lock to make the final roster.

Wow..........

Im not sure what the hell this was all about.
Honestly, I see this as they wanted to bring in a vet that knows Holmgram's system...and can help tutor the young Wrs they have.

keep in mind folks that Engram's best seasons were when he was the slot receiver and 3rd down chain mover. If he is healthy, and can retain that role for Cleveland who lost their best receiving talent....this only helps them develop and free up the youngsters.

(Rotoworld) Newly signed Bobby Engram is expected to compete with Chansi Stuckey for one roster spot in Cleveland. Analysis: The winner figures to be the Browns' primary slot receiver, probably between Mohamed Massaquoi and Brian Robiskie. It's an interesting battle, as Stuckey is an Eric "Mangini guy," while Engram is a Mike Holmgren favorite.
