Yup, its not Kaepernick though..

They sent a conditional 2017 draft pick to Philly, for Mark Sanchez.....

Yeah, all you denver fans must be really breathing easier now.....

I don't know how Philly is getting teams to take this money off their hands....its amazing

Sanchez is as good as any at this point.

Sanchez has been through the good, the bad and the ugly. I'm sure he's matured with each passing year. Finding himself in a quality organization with high caliber weapons might change his future.

Wrong Tekie. There's several QB's in the NFL that he is not as good as now and likely not ever. You want Brady or Sanchez? Really! Rodgers or Sanchez? Brees or Sanchez? Big Ben or Sanchez? You can add many more to the list because it isn't even close. Remind me please of the good because all I remember is the bad and mostly ugly.

What a stupid reply. o_O

Is Brady a free agent or open for trade discussions? Rogers? Brees?

WTF. Look at the choices Denver actually has and then reassess Sanchez.

Fitzpatrick for WAY more money. Kaepernick would have to be traded for, Hoyer? Manziel?

Be real. Given the market, they could do a lot worse than Sanchez.

FTR Sanchez was traded for and not signed as a free agent but maybe you didn't know that. So your statement that Sanchez is as good as any is misinformed.

Yeah...a conditional 7th and 4 mil contract.

Who you gonna get for that kind of dough in a QB starved market?

And if you remember, since his rookie year(s) with the abysmal Jets, he has been a solid back-up in Philly, challenged Foles for the starting gig, and maintained through an organizational disaster that destroyed Demarco Murry and Darren Sproles.

So where did this kid's chance come? No, he's no Andrew Luck but he has yet to be put in a position to succeed. Expectations are lower and opportunities are higher in Denver. Not saying he'll be great but he will be well worth the meager investment.

69 cent, no name paper towels "might" be worth buying if that's all you are willing to spend but they suck pure and simple. Fact is that Sanchez hasn't been able to hold the starting job given ample opportunities and I see no reason to think he's found his four leaf clover in the Mile High City. It's a desperation move by a club that put themselves in a desperate situation.

Peyton put them in this situation if you really think about it.

If he wasn't the legend that he was, Denver absolutely would have gone with Brock from week 17 and through the playoffs. That defense was so insane, that Brock could have absolutely also won the Super Bowl with that squad. It certainly wouldn't take much to have better performances than Peyton pooped out in the playoffs.

Then they would have kept the favor of their young groomed QB. Hell, might have even been able to extend him before he hit FA.

They didn't though. They slighted him and let defense give Peyton the big send off, and then buried themselves at the QB position for the foreseeable future. Come October, nobody is going to be celebrating the Bronco's championship anymore when they're 2-4 and cant get any kind of consistency from the QB position at all.

I knew Manning had a lot of power but I did not realize that he decided who starts and who sits. If Manning made that decision then I agree. If not then you're wrong.

Agree with Mud, HC and Gm in Denver blew this one, not Manning. They decided to say Osweiler will continue to start, then pull him for Manning, and basically embarrass him. Manning was awful in the super bowl, the defense won that game.

So Osweiler basically said, you don't want me...fine I will go elsewhere.

Denver KNEW Manning was gone, either by retirement or cut. So they made their bed, and have to lie with the Sanchize!

AS for Tekkie's point.....he does make some sense. At this point the FA qbs suck, overpay for Fitz, who I think would have been a better choice if not for greed, or make a cheap trade for Sanchez. Kaepernick was not coming that cheap.

After two tries Sanchez hasn't found a team that was willing to keep him on their squad. Maybe Denver will be different but I'm betting not. Those in Dynasty and keeper leagues holding the Bronco receivers must be crying themselves to sleep.

Alex Smith didn't fare well until he went to the Chiefs.

Tyrod Taylor was a career nobody until he went to the Bills,

Blaine Gabbert is finding success after failing miserably in Jacksonville.

Doug Williams flamed his entire career until he went to Tampa.

Your hero Drew Brees was a loser until he went to the Saints

Must I go on?

How about the 500 other instances where a lame duck QB never blossomed to anything at this point in their career?

You're getting desperate now Tekie.

Doug Williams was drafted by Tampa. They made the playoffs 3 of his 4 years there, and went to one NFC championship game. Just saying.

As a starter for the Chargers Bress went 8-8, 12-4, and 9-7. That's 29-19 which isn't exactly in the loser category. Brees suffered a possible career ending injury and the Chargers had Rivers on the bench so they didn't rish his recovery and let him walk. Saints fans couldn't be happier and it worked out decent for the Chargers.

Smith wasn't appreciated and they chose Kaep over him. The records here on the Outlaw will show that I called that a mistake from the get go. How'd that work out for them? Smith has been decent for the Chiefs but hardly elite since his arrival.

Taylor? His team wasn't even sure if they wanted to keep him around this year and it is not a settled matter as to who will start for them in 2016. He didn't do bad at all but the jury is still out on him IMO.

Gabbert? Ask Jag fans if they are thrilled to have him as their QB.

Williams went 36-7 for Grambling and was drafted in the first round by the Bucs. Hardly a case of flaming out before joining the Bucs. As a young Buc Doug led the team to the playoffs in 3 out of four years. In a $$ dispute he left the NFL and joined the Oklahoma/Arizona Outlaws and had a losing record. His greatest claim to fame came in Superbowl XXII when he became the starter at the start of the playoffs and became the Superbowl MVP.

Sanchez is not any of them. Honestly, other than money, I don't see why Fitz is sitting there. He is a game control QB, which is what they wanted with Osweiler and Old Manning.

The most important thing is that Fitz could keep Thomas and Sanders viable as he did for the Jets with Marshall and Decker Sanchez? Good luck with that.
