Per a tweet from Scheffter, do you think the Bears will be on the phone with Derrick Brooks as a result of this?

Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that LB Brian Urlacher will miss the rest of the season with the wrist injury he suffered last night.

Link: Huddle Up: Brian Urlacher likely out for the season with wrist injury

Clipped from the Vaughn McClure article:

Brian Urlacher appears to be out for the season after dislocating his right wrist, the linebacker said Monday. The team has not given the official word, but Lovie Smith is expected to address the issue during his afternoon press conference.

Urlacher injured his wrist in the first quarter of Sunday's 21-15 loss to the Packers. He was ruled out after halftime.

When asked about his status Monday, Urlacher said in a text message that his ``season is over.''

He was scheduled to undergo surgery Monday morning upon the team's arrival back in Chicago from Green Bay. A dislocated bone had to be surgerically put back in. The surgery might have revealed more extensive damage.

How many dominating seasons did he have? When healthy he is dominate in the middle, but exactly how many years has he really been able to avoid loss of time or loss of ability due to injury?

Unbelievable... that Bears defense looked great while he was in the lineup. This certainly doesn't look good for Chicago going forward.

Its looking very likely now that Josh McDaniels will have more regular season wins than Jay Cutler.

Wouldn't be so quick to count the Bears out as a result of his injury, nor would I be too quick to judge the Broncos success on that ridculous game against the Bengals.

As stated, this is the perfect situation for Derrick Brooks, and the Bears are crazy if they are not on the phone with him right now. The guy could step in and at least play a few snaps week 2 as he gets into football shape.

I think the Bears are gonna be tough. They drew a tough home game vs the Steelers next week then a trip to Seattle that isn't gonna be a walk, but they might be the toughest 0-3 team out there in a weak or two.

It will be kind of equaled out against the Steelers. Bears won't have Urlacher, but the Steelers wont have Polamalu, which is an equally or greater loss for the Steelers defense. Should be a good game.
