Dolphins Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall has been stabbed with a knife by a woman in Miami and taken to a hospital, where he remained in intensive care after surgery Saturday morning, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The sources said Marshall was taken to Broward General Hospital by car, not ambulance, after 911 was called, and underwent surgery late Friday night for a stab wound to the stomach.
No vital organs were pierced in the incident, and doctors have told him that Marshall will be OK in two to three weeks, the sources said.

Acco</I> told police she stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife in self defense. She was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Marsahll is in intensive care, but is expected to make a full recovery. According to police, Marshall and his wife "provided scant details" and he told police he fell and slipped on a broken vase. "We are aware of the report," Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said in a statement. "And our thoughts are with Brandon at this time . (RotoWire) Marshall is not cooperating with police in their investigation of his stabbing, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Analysis: Apparently Marshall does not want these charges to be pursued against his wife in the stabbing and has been stonewalling the investigation. Although he was the victim in this situation he could still possibly face discipline from the NFL for not cooperating with the authorities. Never a dull moment with Brandon, but at least he's healthy.
