Mike Sando, of ESPN.com, reports Seattle Seahawks WR Deion Branch (knee) participated in practice Wednesday, June 10.
Our view: He said he has no pain in his surgically repaired knee, and he will have to beat out rookie WR Deon Butler for playing time. The Seahawks added T.J. Houshmandzadeh in free agency to be their #1 wide receiver, and Nate Burleson should line up opposite the former Bengal. Branch and Butler will compete for the starting slot position

Just a heads up here for ppr folks.

This is a good thing for Branch in PPR. Remember the passing game in Seattle favors the slot receiver alot...it is why Engram when healthy was such a great target the last few years. So don't drop your value of Branch too much by this....

Branch: Knee Will Never be Normal Again --
Thu Jun 11, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
ESPN reports just because Seattle Seahawks WR Deion Branch is back on the field doesn't mean he's back to normal. That was before he destroyed his knee. "You will never be back to normal once you have this type of procedure done. I actually feel stronger, but it's not normal," said Branch, who turns 30 next month. "Something has been done that removed [parts] of my knee. My biggest thing is to continue to strengthen it." Still, Branch said he will attempt to play the same way and make the same moves that made him a star earlier this decade with the Patriots. "I'll be OK. I'll never think about my knee once I take the field," he said.

-- John Carlson Continues to Impress --
Fri Jun 12, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
The News Tribune reports during the Seattle Seahawks' minicamp practice Thursday, second-year TE John Carlson hauled in a one-handed grab near the sideline with OLB Leroy Hill draped on his back, drawing cheers from his teammates and causing OC Greg Knapp to mimic the ESPN SportsCenter highlight theme music. Carlson has picked up where he left off after setting franchise records for catches and receiving yards for a tight end during his rookie season. But Knapp says Carlson has barely scratched the surface of his ability, and should be even more effective playing alongside free-agent pickup WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh and veteran receivers Deion Branch and Nate Burleson. Knapp knows a thing or two about getting the ball to the tight end. TE Alge Crumpler averaged 56 catches and six touchdowns a year for the Atlanta Falcons during Knapp's time as offensive coordinator there. Crumpler made the Pro Bowl all three years Knapp was in Atlanta. And young TE Zach Miller put up similar numbers in Oakland, averaging 50 catches and a couple of touchdowns per season during his first two years in the league. Carlson led the Seahawks in receptions (55) and receiving yards (627) last season, becoming QB Matt Hasselbeck's go-to option in critical situations.

Ok.....at this point it almost seems like you take Carlson, Butler, TJ, and the infamous WR to be named later and roll with it. Sounds like the WR3 will be a circus of injured knees.

Spot on. I'm liking Carlson as Hass's #2 more and more as I hear about the rusty knees in Seattle.

Carlson's gunna be a stud.

TJ's situation scares me a bit. He's an excellent reciever but he benefits the most I think as the #2 guy. I see his numbers dropping a bit if he has to play #1.
