Brady injures shoulder

While much of the preseason has centered on how Brady would respond to a hit on his surgically repaired knee, the hardest blow came when his right shoulder was crushed to the turf by massive defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth after throwing an incomplete third-down pass late in the second quarter. Brady went to the bench, where he flexed and rotated his throwing arm as the half came to a close and again after returning from the locker room after halftime.
Brady did not play the second half, even though most of the first-team offense returned for the first drive of the third quarter. He then left the sideline to return to the locker room. In the fourth quarter, the Patriots announced Brady’s injury as a sore shoulder.

Brady did not return and was in noticeable pain on the sidelines after the hit. At this point this is just something to keep an eye on. Don't expect a full report anytime soon though, the Pats are very slow to give you any real news when it comes to injuries.

Nothing to see here. Mr. Brady will be out firing TD passes on opening day.

I still think it was a good idea for him to get out there and get this sort of thing over and done with.

Dr. Sarge now??

I'm not going to call this something to worry about, but when one of the best QB's in the league has an unidentified shoulder injury it's something to keep an eye on.

Of note, Brady looked great prior to the injury and the Brady to Moss connection looked to be in mid-season gear, which is BAD news for the rest of the league.

I am a Doctor LOL!

Nah, Im just of the opinion only death will stop him from playing at a high level.

:biglaugh: or a torn knee......that kinda did the trick to him last year ;)

He's a QB, not a super hero......

The knee injury was a trick so he could take a year off to put beggars in jail and nail his old lady. :)

This news is not what Patriots' fans wanted to hear. They do not want to see their guy go down again this soon.

:eek

Somewhere....there is a GM up north that is really wondering if they should have dealt away Cassell.

Not saying he should start. Not saying Brady's injury is awful. But the fact remains that when a Qb has missed a great deal of time....it takes a while to get back into that mode. The O-line doesn't look as good either. Which is even a greater risk to Brady.

I am envisioning a new rule next year allowing defenses to only designate one defender to rush the passer now that Brady hurt his wittle shouwder.

poorrrr wittwe bwady, he fall down go BOOM!

They better figure it out. That's two weeks in a row Brady's been pounded.

So at that rate he might not make it to the regular season. Wondering if they are calling up KC and asking for a mulligan in the trade for Cassell. LOL

Likely scenario.. Oakland failure Andrew Walter rises up after Brady goes down again, leads NE to the playoffs, then during next offseason Al Davis makes Walter the highest-paid QB in the NFL in a monumental free-agent signing.

WOW thats one hell of a reach , Walter leading them to the playoffs. But Cassell did it and that team made him look like a star in one season. He is under some serious pressure to repeat the same in KC or the fans will be all over him. With the fire power NE has, even Klingler would look like an all star.

The new no low hit rule isn't going to keep Brady from having his knee destroyed. It's too automatic to defenders and Brady is going to be the victim despite a rule custom made for him.
