Pats Backup Right Guard Billy Yates was Re-Signed By The Patriots.
Not a big deal in the big scheme of things but you have to give credit to the Pats for the way they do things. Yates is a good backup who did start 7 games last year but is mainly a depth guy on the O line. The Pats dropped him, most of us probably didn't even notice. Then 48 hours later, after he cleared waivers, they resigned him to what I am sure was a cheaper deal. When it comes to the art of the deal the Pats are among the best.
