BenJarvus Green-Ellis: 2012 Bust

Okay this will not be a popular thought here in Outlaw Nation and I'm okay with that. Mark it down that I told you he's over rated with an ADP of 5.05. He's never been the go to guy for any length of time and now he steps away from the Pat's offense which masked his plodding ways. Last year the Law Firm never had a carry over 18 yards. Even Michael Turner looked quick compared the Ellis. Kick out his one good game against the Jets last year when the Jets played 7 DB's the entire game and BenJarvus's average yards per carry was a paultry 3.5. Draft him in the 5th if you want to but you're going to regret it.

I'm not going to call him a complete bust. One thing going for him is that Cincy's Oline is MUCH better run blockers than the Pats. HOWEVER, I am not thrilled with him and won't take him that early. Scott will get some opportunities, Leonard will still be involved on key 3rd downs and I'm not writing off Dan Heron having some sort of impact if Law Firm goes down to an injury.

In the end, I think he ends up in the 800-900 ru yds area with 6-7 TD's.

At the speed he moves (LOL) it'll take him 18 games to manage 900 yards. They's better make the playoffs.

You could be right mud. He didn't impress me much last year but there is a whole new change of scenery, but then again that could go either way as well.

I think Bengal fans, including our own Miller, are about to gain some newfound respect for Cedric. A bit late no doubt but over due IMHO.

I don't need to regain any respect for Ced, I have defending him many times on here.....don't put words into my mouth ;) He was a grinder. Not flashy, but fit the system well.

However, go do a little home work tonight Mud, find me the last starting RB in Cincy that played the whole year that didn't put up decent numbers. For all their issues over the years, running the ball is rarely one of them. And again, they have some road graders upfront. My only pause on Law Firm is I'm not sure he's going to end up being that back that busts out. I think this is a year you could see a surprise. Someone will put up some fantasy value though if history is any indication.

I simply don't get it. Law Firm is in no way less a plodder than Benson was. So,since Benson has run for 40 yards he can explode? He is younger, less mileage, and doesn't fumble, which Benson does. Will he be a stud, no. But is he capable of at least repeating what Benson has done....I don't see why not.

Please keep in mind though....I never ever picked or drafted Benson
