Bears RB Matt Forte Out with MCL sprain

Matt Forte (knee) received a platelet rich plasma injection Tuesday to help speed his recovery, but he is still uncertain when he will return, the Chicago Tribune reports. "I feel all right. I have good range of motion," Forte said during a promotional appearance at Water Tower Place. I'm here, standing up and walking around, so obviously that's good. MCLs usually don't take a whole lot of time to get back. But it does vary from two to as long as six weeks. I don't want to make any predictions because I really don't know. I got a (platelet rich plasma) injection this morning that is supposed to make it heal faster." If effective, the shot could help Forte return a week or two early, but nothing is given. Marion Barber and Kahlil Bell are still expected to carry the load in Chicago while Forte is out.

so many injuries this year which is understandable with a short training camp, but damn . . . losing him on 2 teams heading into the playoffs really sucks . . . 2 other teams hurt with the loss of fred jackson . . . :(

If Im Matt Forte, the Bears can kiss my ass.

He did the right thing and played without pay. No more. He came dangerously close to losing out on his big payday.

Okay a few things here.

First, yes, he was stand up, and played even though he was on last year of current contract. I applaud him for that!

However......
he was offered a deal, not as high as C.Johnson or A.Peterson, but it was a significant deal, and he turned it down...so he rolled the dice on that one himself.

That being said...no Cutler, no Forte = no playoffs for Bears.

So rest, get well Mr. Forte, and then decide if you will sign your Franchise tag offer or hold out then......
