BCS is dead, playoffs are coming

Finally! After the 2014 season, college football is going to a playoff. I might actually watch it now.....

It's way over due but better late than never. I'm excited that it has arrived.

All I have heard so far is 4 top teams, selected by a committee. Not sure if this is after bowl, or instead of bowls for those 4. Nor if it is any 4 or only conf. champions, as was wanted by Big 10 and Pac 200.

Everyone will never be happy even if they had 8 teams in the playoff but it's a step in the right direction.

If nothing else, at least the process is now in place for a playoff, and the BCS is finally being kicked to the curb like it should have been from the beginning.

The BCS literally ruined college football for me. Other than rivalry/conference games, I completely lost interest.

Better than nothing, but it should be 8 teams. That said, this is great news! Just hate that we have to wait until 2014 for this.

I'm sure the format will require some tweaking, but this is a lot better than the way things have been.
