Baylor continues to hold Texas A&M hostage

Lost in all the Big 12 saving of the past few days is the fact Texas A&M still holds a conditional invite to the SEC, dependant on the Big 12 and all member schools agreeing not to sue the SEC and Texas A&M for tortious interference or anything else.

Baylor still has a wolfpack of lawyers on this ready to sue and still refuses to relinquish its right in this matter. What is it going to take to get Baylor to let the Aggies go?

A&M should promise to make their life hell if their conference ever dies. Baylor is just showing everyone why they do not belong in a major conference. A&M should promise to remind others about this fact the next time around if they don't drop their lawfare.

The A&M decision in my mind wasnt made in good sense, it was made in emotion. They want to get away from big brother so damn bad they will burn every bridge to do it.

That team moving into the SEC loses A TON of its talent next year. They could easily be a 5 win team.

I can see why A&M is doing what it is. A&M has won only one Big 12 title and is no longer a perennial top 25 program despite all of the resources, history, and natural advantage. At the end of the SWC days, A&M was a top 15 program with 6 conference titles in 9 years. Moving to the preeminent football college will help differentiate itself from the competition. Stoops bringing OU back, Texas taking off their retard hat and not hiring clowns like Mackovic made it more difficult for A&M, especially when they were making questionable decisions themselves. The move to the SEC will give them a recruiting tool to use in Texas and also open up nearby fertile recruiting turf in the recruit rich SEC country. It also seems like a good fit culturally and geographically. There are also some historical connections and rivalries with Arkansas, LSU, and Alabama (coach snatching).

All the news from yesterday is they are coming to the SEC in 2012 to be the 13th team. Few teams have been mentioned to become the 14th team to even out conferences but nothing worth noting.

Even the SEC president says they are not gonna add another. Interested to see how next years schedule is gonna work.

And just for fun lets get the the first guesses in on the Bama Vs A&M score...i say 42 7 Bama.

They'll add another to make it an even 14. Think they are just sitting back and waiting and watching the Big East/ACC movement. Think the got their eyes on a few teams right now. WV and Mizzou are the biggest names i've heard so far.

Missouri and W Virginia are being courted by the SEC for the 14th team. If it's Missouri look for a change to be made in the divisions. If W Virginia comes on board one will be added to each of the divisions.

Personally i'd rather have WV join even tho Missouri is my dads alama mater. Just think WV brings more to the table.
