Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt revealed after Friday night's preseason game that Ryan Williams "probably" has a torn patellar tendon.

He had to be carted off the field. Damn shame.

Didn't have anything invested in this kid, but had I been in the position I would have.

Williams will undergo season-ending surgery early next week. While he has youth and time on his side, there's a chance Williams will never take the field at the NFL level again. Though the Cards plan to add a backup running back before Week 1, Beanie Wells projects to be a bell cow in Williams' absence.

Well, surgery..then a month with his leg totally immobilized, which will cause his quad to shrink big time. 6 months rehab, maybe another 3 on top of that trying to get one leg to match the other powerwise...

I hope he makes it back.
