He's dead on, and he hit him like a missile, which is illegal as hell and extremely dangerous.....put your damn head up!“I'm like a missile,” he said. “When I'm locked-in, I'm locked-in.”

The next one, and there will be, oughta be $50,000.Lewis has been fined $25,000 for this hit by the NFL.
next one just sit his ass out a game and take a game check....The next one, and there will be, oughta be $50,000.

Its like Carson Palmer said...at some point someone will get killed............and THEN the rules will really be changed and the game changed.:shake:As for the title of this thread, I have to ask...
Will the NFL ever truly give a damn? How much longer is the league going to look the other way in regards to the lost art of tackling, simply because these dangerous hits are popular among fans?
Is it going to take an unfortunate streak of multiple big name offensive players having their season or career ended by these types of hits for the league to finally do something about it? Or will the continue to focus on the "bottom line" and let the highlight reel plays continue?
That would have been the "Roy Williams Rule #2" as he did this also. :nannie: All kidding aside. There are a couple handfuls of players proned to this activity. They oughta be made to suffer financially, along with their teams via suspensions. It just still amazes me that the horse collar rule came into play, when offensive players actually have an opportunity to give up on the play and willingly go down rather than risk injury that is at worst going to be a broken leg.
But, launching yourself like a missile is allowed, when you could potentially kill somebody.
Not to go all homer here, but I have to watch a total of 4 games of thiss a year and can say there are two teams that stand out with these types of hits for me: Pittsburgh, and Baltimore.....both GREAT defenses, don't get me wrong! And with Pitt, it's not just their defense, their WR's have been known to do the same....That would have been the "Roy Williams Rule #2" as he did this also. :nannie: All kidding aside. just saw this in Sarge's thread, what an ugly moment.....good move on the ejection and he needs to sit out next week.Divison rivalry game: Panthers @ Bucs just turned ugly. #21 D. Wesley plowed into Clifton Smith with another dangerous hit. Refs called a Fair Catch Interference penalty AND disqualified Wesley from the game.
No word yet on Clifton's status but we was able to walk into the locker room for half time.
