Al Davis has passed away

He was fun, and he did things his own way. I appreciate him for the individual he was and how he would not back down from a fight. I will miss having him as an object of humor, but also as the kind of maverick that helped make the NFL a better league in the long run.

hehehe...heheheh..hehe...
There hasn't been a kind word said about Davis on this forum since I joined it.

Now he's dead and everyone gets weepy.

Why does it make people feel good to speak fondly of the dead when they didn't have a kind word to say when he was living?

Just curious.

Hehe...I actually cheered a little when I heard the news...I've had this guy in the dead pool for years and he kept on kickin....this year, we don't do one and BAM....he exits stage left. This was the ONLY way there would ever be a change in ownership of this team. Anyway, not overjoyed that he has passed away (I'm not an insensitive ass...really I'm not), but I am a bit excited to see where this franchise can go now. This has been a long time coming!
