49ers re-sign Robert Saleh as DC. Fun fact he was scheduled for Jacksonville for 2 nd I nterview for HC but cancelled for this

What a mess, just heard this on ESPN radio this morning. So before he even interviews with Jacksonville the first time, Tampa goes to Coen and says what $$$ to get you to stay. Days later Coen says this much, and team says fine, but go ahead and interview for experience. Coen does, and say no way to Baalke. So tells Tampa I am done I will take the deal. But does not come in and sign the deal, then its announced that Baalke is fired, and suddenly Coen can't be found for an entire day. Then they hear Coen is back in Jacksonville, and now we hear he is taking the job.

On a side note, This happened before the Pederson hire as well, evidently at least 2 candidates said they can't work with Baalke, and Pederson was the only one that said he could, so he got the job.

Just Wow.
 
On that same path, Saleh has said yes to 49ers, but he is keeping his name in for 2 other HC jobs, so even him going to SF isn't locked.

Bears are working to finalize a deal to make former Lions WR coach Antwaan Randle El their new assistant head coach/wr coach. Randle El is following Ben Johnson to Chicago.
 
Cowboys are hiring offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer as their new head coach, Jerrry Jones tells ESPN.

Well.... fresh news just in..

Bills OC Joe Brady, the architect of the Buffalo offense, has elected to remain with the Bills and pull out of the Saints HC search.

Saints wanted a 2nd interview. Brady chooses to stick with Buffalo.

Kellen Moore also wanted for a 2nd interview
