My personal look and view on who is or is not, or SHOULD be on the hot seat to be FIRED!! Ratings - SAFE, WARM, HOT, FIRED

AFC:

AFC East:
Buffalo
- Sean McDermott - SAFE - would have said hot seat, but the fact the rest of the division is awful, they will make the playoffs and go high
Miami - Mike McDaniel - WARM - He should be seeing much more success than he is, and the offense is now hit or miss. My gut says GM may be gone due to Tua situation.
New York Jets - Robert Salah - FIRED - He is gone already and I don't see Ulbrich staying. Look for big hire later this year or early next.
New England - Jerod Mayo - SAFE - yeah not good, but they purged the team and he is resetting the atmosphere, so he gets another year

AFC North:
Pittsburgh
- Mike Tomlin - SAFE - having a great year, making tough decisions. Would love to see them get another top WR.
Baltimore - John Harbaugh - SAFE - Offense is carrying this team, injuries have killed the defense, but they are winning. - a early playoff loss though......
Cincinnati - Zac Taylor - SAFE - team isn't good, but they are playing with heart. The waiting on salary decisions hurt this team. HC is safe and so is "GM" as its ownership basically
Cleveland - Kevin Stefanski - HOT - somebody is going this year, GM, HC or both. The killer of this team is the QB, so maybe the owner should be fazed out, but someone is gonna get blamed

AFC South:
Houston -
DeMeco Ryans - SAFE - not as good this season, but they are still a solid team
Indianapolis - Shane Steichen - SAFE - they are not as good as they should be, and they have learned Richardson may have been a mistake, but they are safe IMO
Jacksonville - Doug Pederson - HOT - just spend huge on QB, and team still is failing. My gut says he and GM are goners
Tennessee - Brian Callahan - WARM - Need better QB option, and team has to keep rebuilding, some late wins may help him, but as this is first year he should be safe.

AFC West:
Kansas City -
Andy Reid - SAFE - He and GM are safe, I think DC is gone due to HC shot
Denver - Sean Payton - SAFE - Looks like Bo is the savior, which is great for the Broncos
Las Vegas - Antonio Pierce - HOT - fired almost everyone else today, I don't think he is safe either...
Los Angeles Chargers - Jim Harbaugh - SAFE - He has turned the culture, needs some more talent

NFC:

NFC East:
Washington
- Dan Quinn - SAFE - Has really done well, and OC has found a great QB to work with
Philadelphia - Nick Siriani - HOT - Still hearing team is pissed at him, and he continues to make mistakes. My bet is if they fold later, he is gone.
Dallas - Mike McCarthy - HOT - He is a goner, book it, the team has collasped and Jerry will have no choice - let the rumors of Belichick begin
New York Giants - Brian Daboll - HOT - I bet he and the GM are gone

NFC North:
Detroit -
Dan Campbell - SAFE - Team is rocking and rolling
Minnesota - Kevin O'Connell - SAFE - Defense and Offense is doing well
Green Bay - Matt LaFleur - SAFE - Not as solid as last year, but with injuries and such he is safe
Chicago - Matt Eberflus - WARM - Defense is solid, young QB is doing ok, my gut says he should be safe so QB develops, but if the fade 2nd half he could be a goner

NFC South:
Tampa Bay
- Todd Bowles - SAFE - team is playing well at times, and he and OC have made Baker Mayfield relevant again
Atlanta - Raheem Morris - SAFE - again team playing well, needs more help on Def and O-line
New Orleans - Dennis Allen - FIRED - Just got canned, so the next coach search just got deeper
Carolina - Dave Canales - WARM - in his first year you would give him some slack, especially how talent starved this team is. GM is more likely to get fired IMO. But with this owner, Canales is not safe at all.

NFL West:
Arizona
- Jonathan Gannon - SAFE - team is struggling some, but they are playing hard and Gannon has Kyler Murray looking good
Seattle - Mike MacDonald - SAFE - Team needs more depth, cap cuts have hurt this team. But OC has Geno rocking still
Los Angeles Rams - Sean McVay - WARM - Don't think he is getting fired, but I do think there is a shot he may retire....
San Francisco - Kyle Shanahan - SAFE - not looking good here, as they are going to lose some talent next year.

Coming at you
San Francisco - Kyle Shanahan - SAFE - not looking good here, as they are going to lose some talent next year.

Kyle is not going anywhere unless he wants to go somewhere else. Jed and Lynch aren't that stupid.

I don't see them losing anyone of significance next year, other than maybe Deebo. CMC will be back unless he is physically unable, which is a possibility.

On defense, I think they sign Lenoir and Ward before the season ends. They have the money. Also, their 2024 draft class is looking really good. Puni has been great at RG. Green and Mustafa are starting and all playing well. Pearsall finally good to go after being shot and had a nice game against Dallas. Guerrando looks better as he plays more and they like Cowing.

The bye came at a good time to get some guys healthy and hopefully they can make another 2nd half run. Losing Aiyuk hurts of course, but that's football.

Near end of season update.... Ratings - SAFE, WARM, HOT, FIRED

AFC:

AFC East:
Buffalo
- Sean McDermott - SAFE - Been an amazing season for Buffalo. I think even if they drop out early in playoffs he is safe.
Miami - Mike McDaniel - WARM - His offensive success seems tied to Tua, not a safe situation. Would not be shocked if they moved on.
New York Jets - Robert Salah - FIRED - I don't see Ulbrich keeping the job. No Belichick either anymore to go to.
New England - Jerod Mayo - WARM - The team is really bad, but they should have known that. Would be shocked if he got fired. But.... he won't have much time to get better either.

AFC North:
Pittsburgh
- Mike Tomlin - SAFE - He has done a tremendous job there, but if they don't win some playoff games, things will go to warm very quickly. The Owner stated they need to win playoff games......
Baltimore - John Harbaugh - SAFE - Team wins and makes playoffs, but then fades. I wonder if this isn't a surprise move, where they mutually agree to separate, but for now he should still be safe.
Cincinnati - Zac Taylor - SAFE - Defense let them down, and WRs got hurt. I think Zac is safe, but he needs to get this team going again.
Cleveland - Kevin Stefanski - HOT - Here is the reality, the team has said they are keeping Watson. So the next change would be Stefanski and GM. Even though Stefanski didn't make the trade for Watson, the GM did. I think one of the two is gone after this year and it wasn't Stefanski's fault.

AFC South:
Houston -
DeMeco Ryans - SAFE - Young team and coach came back to earth this year, but still playoff headed.
Indianapolis - Shane Steichen - SAFE - They are still not great, but Steichen hasn't cost them, Richardson has though.
Jacksonville - Doug Pederson - HOT - Both GM and Pederson need to go. This team is soooo under achieving.
Tennessee - Brian Callahan - WARM - They are rebuilding, and Will Levis doesn't look to be it. But for now I think he is safe.

AFC West:
Kansas City -
Andy Reid - SAFE - He will never get fired here IMO. But I wonder if he wins 3 in a row, does he retire and move on before the bottom drops out?
Denver - Sean Payton - SAFE - He has Bo now, and team is making the playoff run.
Las Vegas - Antonio Pierce - HOT - Pierce is a fan favorite, and team favorite. But they will draft a new young QB and is he the guy to tutor him?
Los Angeles Chargers - Jim Harbaugh - SAFE - He has turned the culture, needs some more talent

NFC:

NFC East:
Washington
- Dan Quinn - SAFE - Has really done well
Philadelphia - Nick Siriani - HOT - I am torn here. I love how Philly is playing, and the Saquon pick up was steller move. That being said they still have some internal culture issues, and Siriani is a dufus. Short of a playoff fail, he is probably safe, but I could see a move post season as well.
Dallas - Mike McCarthy - HOT - He should be fired. Period. That being said this team is a friggen mess for the Dak Prescott contract, and their talk of potentially trading Micah Parsons means another off season of mess. Too bad they can't fire the owner. Jerry is the main issue here.
New York Giants - Brian Daboll - HOT - Daboll inherited the QB and team, but he has done little to make it better. Giants will draft a young QB, and Daboll could make the kid better, but I don't think he gets the shot to.

NFC North:
Detroit -
Dan Campbell - SAFE - Chewing knee caps and leading the conference.
Minnesota - Kevin O'Connell - SAFE - Made Sam Darnold relevant again in the NFL.
Green Bay - Matt LaFleur - SAFE - Team is playing well
Chicago - Matt Eberflus - FIRED - New OC ( came in mid-season) is in charge, look for a veteran HC to get hired to rebuild this team around the rookie QB.

NFC South:
Tampa Bay
- Todd Bowles - WARM - Hear me out here, yes the team will make the playoffs, but it really needs to be rebuilt more, and not sure he is that safe. Time will tell.
Atlanta - Raheem Morris - WARM - Morris and GM waited way to long to give Penix Jr a chance. I will add the signing of Cousins to that contract will probably cost the GM his job.
New Orleans - Dennis Allen - FIRED - Would love to see Vrabel here, but look for some hot coordinator instead.
Carolina - Dave Canales - WARM - I have to give Canales some credit on how he handled the young QB. That being said the Owner is an idiot so seeing another change would not shock me.

NFL West:
Arizona
- Jonathan Gannon - SAFE - team is still in need of talent, but Gannon is making Kyler Murray look good. I think he is safe for now.
Seattle - Mike MacDonald - SAFE - Team is in the hunt for playoffs. Still needs to be rebuilt, but the young HC seems solid
Los Angeles Rams - Sean McVay - WARM - Been rumors of him retiring soon, so we have to wait and see
San Francisco - Kyle Shanahan - WARM - Now hear me out, I don't believe he would be fired, but SF has to rebuild now, and I see them dropping some contracts this year. And some team may go all in and offer a boat load to trade for Shanahan. So we shall see.....
