I have to describe him as most people would know him, the fat quarterback Jared Lorenzen has passed away his mother just announced.

Former NFL quarterback Jared Lorenzen died Wednesday at the age of 38 after battling kidney and heart issues as well as an infection, his family announced.

In an update, apparently he driving his Ford F250 and was cut off on the freeway. He then hit the concrete barrier and rolled and somehow his arm ended up pinned under the vehicle. They had to amputate his arm at the scene likely saving his life.

• The Athletic's Vic Tafur reports there is a "growing sentiment" that Josh Jacobs will not be at camp when rookies report on July 23.
  Camp doesn't officially start until veterans report July 26, but Jacobs is reportedly eyeing a holdout beyond then due to a hangup regarding the payment schedule of his signing bonus. According to Tafur, negotiations between the team and the No. 24 overall pick "have not been going well" as Jacobs remains Oakland's only unsigned selection.

6) Jimmy G Qb SF expects to be ready for camp and not start on PUP list.

NFL held their supplemental draft - only one player was drafted - Washington State S Jalen Thompson was selected in the 5th round by Arizona - that costs them their 2020 5th round pick.
4 players total were in the supplemental draft - West Virginia Wr Marcus Simms was expected to be taken but was not, but stories are flying he is about to sign with Jacksonville.

Only two did - Gould K SF signed a 2 year deal and Grady Jarrett DT ATL also signed a four year extension.

In other news - Golden Tate says the best Qb he has ever played with is Stafford of Detroit, not Wilson of Sea or any Phi Qb.

• Profootballtalk reports that Ezekiel Elliott has "privately said that he will hold out of training camp unless he gets a new contract."

More from FBG news update - Elliot must report by Aug. 6th or he won't acrue a full season toward UFA after his last year. That means he can't hold out next year(2020) and still be UFA like Bell was.

So this is probably a no news issue.
