CLE - follow up on team exposure for both suspended players - NFL has stated that Hunt is banned from Cleveland site until his suspension is over, but they did say Callaway can attend meetings and other team functions while he is on suspension.
BUF - Team has extended K Hauschka for 2 more years

Huh I called it, but it wont' happen - WAS and HOU have had trade talks, with Houston looking to get OT Trent Williams for Clowney, but Washington is back to being adamant about keeping Williams
On that HOU has talked to 5 teams about Clowney - Phi, Was, Mia, Sea and NYJ
GB has traded Lb Reggie Gilbert to Tenn for 7th round draft choice
SEA - D.K. Metcalf is day to day coming off of knee surgery
NE made two trades to get more depth on OL - they traded with Baltimore to get OL Jermaine Eluemunor and with Arizona to get OL Korey Cunningham - have not heard yet what NE gave up in either
PHI - Charles Johnson Wr was put on IR - trying to come back to NFL from AAF
DAL - plan to keep talking deal with Dak and Amari on contract extensions during the season
NFL - there is a huge push to shorten the preseason - with that though Owners want more regular season games to make up lost $$$. One option is to go 18 reg. season games, the other is to increase the season by one game and add more teams to the playoffs. The latter is the prefered focus of owners right now. NFLPA is said to be against extending the season though.
NE gave up an 6th round draft pick to get Cunningham from Arizona

IND - they are bringing in vet Qbs to talk to - Osweiler, Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel - right now depending on who you read, Qb room is Brissett, Chad Kelly, Phillip Walker - but Kelly has a 2 game suspension coming. So another vet to help Brissett makes sense
NFL - so big story floating around is Women's soccer star Carli Lloyd was visiting the Eagles during the Baltimore/Philadelphia joint practice before their preseason game last week. While there, she did some FG kicking, including a 54 yarder. Now some teams are reaching out to her to see if she wants to get serious and train. Just recently Morton Anderson HoF kicker reached out and offered to help her.

Okay week four games are over, rosters need to be trimmed to 53 by 4pm Saturday ET
NE - there was a brief scare for Patriots when Edelman went down after a 20yard reception and hurt his injured hand - but seems not a big deal as of now
MIA - Fitzpatrick won the competition at Qb for week 1 - but HC says Rosen is still in the mix and has done great development - He stated Qbs need to learn some from the sidelines - so this may just be a vet vs. "rookie" thing.
DAL - Jerry Jones has come out and stated Zeke will probably miss week 1 and maybe longer as they continue to negotiate
MIA - rumor now is Miami has told HOU they would deal OT Laremy Tunsil for Clowney and a 1st round pick o_O
BAL - Trace McSorely has won a roster spot per HC Harbaugh, he can be used in KO coverage, and all over the field, and he is mobile enough that he could fill in for Lamar Jackson and keep the same offense in place, and he is great depth coverage for an injured RGIII
NE - Josh Gordon was on the field and played alot in first Qtr - great to see
BUF - Mitch Morse C is now out of the concussion protocol
CIN - Rodney Anderson Rb re-injured his knee in the last preseason game - don't know severity of this yet

The cuts are something that I enjoy watching a lot. One man's trash becomes another coach's treasure. Saints need desperately to find some "O" line depth. Will that unheralded rook you've taken an interest make the final squad? Dreams made and dreams shattered. Exciting times directly ahead for me.

I am curious to see if Philly works a deal with Houston. They have good Wr depth, and OT depth that could help Houston. Issue is do they want to risk the one year rental on Clowney since they can't extend him this year.

I, selflessly, would love to see the Skins send AP and their disgruntled lineman to Space Town for Clowney. Bump Guice up the boards if that miracle should happen.

More news:
CLE - Kareem Hunt will be rehabilitating while out on suspension due to hernia surgery this week - expect him to take 6 weeks or so to recover, but the key issue is, he can't recover with the team and their health staff.
Trade - BUF sends OG Wyatt Teller and a 7th round 2021 draft pick to CLE for 5th and 6th round draft picks in 2020
CAR - K Graham Gano may miss half the season due to his knee issue, and may be a candidate for IR
DAL - plan in Dallas is to have Tony Pollard start if Zeke holds out
WAS - Zero chance Trent Williams shows up for week one - this is another see who blinks first deal
SEA - Cb Kalan Reed is going on IR with a neck injury and some feel this could be career ending
NE - Running back coach is raving how well Sony Michel is doing with catching the ball now.....
NO - former OT Jermon Bushrod is set to sign a one day deal with NO and retire

Cuts are already starting, but I won't post all, just key ones if any come up.
HOU - got good new in that back up Qb A.J. McCarron is back throwing but also got bad news in that they lost back up Qb Joe Webb to a serious foot injury - no idea what issue is and time lines yet

Ian Rapoport reports the 49ers are expected to place Jerick McKinnon on injured reserve. It isn't yet known if he will be a candidate for return or will be out for the season.

Cardinals waived WR Chad Williams. The former great at GRambling State University hasn't been able to get it done in the NFL.
