More updates:
WAS - Derrius Guice Rb looks great in camp, but still has not received clearance to play in games.
GB - Lb Oren Burks got great news this week - he has NOT torn his pectoral muscle but instead it is a "hyperextension" and he could return this year
WAS - per one report Keenum is leading the competition, but in a different report Rb Adrien Peterson says Colt McCoy is leading the pack....Yikes!!
CIN - is moving Jeff Driskel to Wr for practice - this can be seen two ways, one he is very athletic and it opens some interesting options, the other is rumors are flying that rookie Qb Ryan Finley has turned it around and is doing better and could get 2nd team reps in next game
DAL - Wr Amari Cooper is working through Plantar Fascia irritation - team is not all that concerned
JAC - Nick Foles not likely to play against his old team the Eagles
NYG - Golden Tate's 4 game suspension has been upheld

MIA - Josh Rosen Qb is getting more and more time with the first team squad in practices. Fitz expected to start this weeks game, but they may be wanting to push Rosen soon

WAS - Colt McCoy will be held out of this weeks game, so Case Keenum will start - Colt still recovering from broken leg last year
SF - Nick Bosa DE is out of this walking boot
PHI - DL Fletcher Cox still is not practicing or working out on the rehab field - but team and Cox says he is fine, no set backs and on a plan to be ready for game 1
NFLPA - has published a work stoppage guide for players in case of a work stoppage after 2020 season when current CBA expires
DET - Matt Stafford Qb was given the week off of practice - plan to keep work load off of him to keep him up right
TEN - OT Taylor Lewan's PED suspension appeal will be heard Aug 22nd
CHI - OG Kyle Long was kicked out of practice yesterday for fighting, at one point he ripped the helmet off of DL Jalen Dalton and started throwing punches...... he had to be forceably pulled away
IND - Colts plan to make a decision on Luck's availability for week 1 by end of 3rd pre-season game - oh goodie....
MIN - Vikings are supposedly shopping Wr Laquon Treadwell - he is currently #5 on depth chart
DAL - per multiple sources, Dallas has offered a contract to Dak Prescott for $30 million a year, and he turned it down. - I don't see how they will be able to afford to sign Cooper, Prescott AND Zeke to long term deals if they all insist on breaking the bank

Fallout from some of the games last night:
ARI - Cb Robert Alford has a broken Tibia and will be out til mid-season at best
PIT - Mason Rudolph will be starter for Pittsburgh this week
BAL - Lamar Jackson showed what he could do with his legs....
IND - Colts optimistic we will see Luck start of season :rolleyes:
OAK - by some reports Raiders expect to see Antonio Brown in practice next week
WAS - was hoping Qb situation would prove out, but..... - Colt McCoy still having issues with leg, Case Keenum hasn't been all that, and Rookie Haskins shows flashes but also throws ball to defenders...
BAL - May have lost Cb Tavon Young for rest of year with neck issue
PHI - lost another Qb last night - Cody Kessler is in concussion protocol, and Sudfeld has broken wrist on non-throwing hand - leaves Thorson for now to back up Wentz
NYJ - ORT Brandon Snell hurt his knee in warm ups, significance isn't known yet
LAC - Wr Keenan Allen sprained is ankle in practice and will miss most if not all the rest of the pre-season
IND - lost Wr Reece Fountain to a dislocated and broken ankle - having surgery right away
NO - is working on funding for $450 million in upgrades to the Superdome - to keep Saints in NO - lease runs out in 2025
WAS - OC is begging Trent Williams to return and play - wow...just wow
TEN - Te Delanie Walker hopes to play this week

Good morning, Folks. Some hopeful news this morning for Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Mike Leslie, Sports Anchor at WFAA in Dallas reports:

"Can confirm picture of Zeke Elliott flying home from Cabo is real. He’s back to DFW now, as the Cowboys return from the Pacific this weekend, after today’s game in Hawaii. No deal yet, but they remain optimistic it will get done soon. His training team traveled home with him."

Leslie goes on to say, this does NOT mean a deal is imminent. But I don't think it's a stretch at all to call this a positive move. There clearly appears to be optimism here. As you likely know, Elliott has been training with his training team in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. He's reportedly in the best shape of his career.

Again, don't make this any more than it is. Elliott is returning home with his training team. The Cowboys are playing in Hawaii and will be back to Dallas soon. As you well know, these things can change quickly. But right now, I like the way this is trending. Stay tuned.

And if you want my take on it, I very much expect a deal to get done and for Elliott to be there on Week 1.

You know, I really give this guy some credit, he is obviously really wanting to play, but I just think this is a bad idea, as the stress kicks in he back slides.

He is also only conditionally reinstated, not sure what that means

Updates post week 2 pre-season games...
WAS - reports now saying Colt McCoy may not be able to play until a couple of weeks into the season
CHI - waived K Elliot Fry - and then there was one...until they add another?
HOU - HC says Matt Kalil will be starting OLT - even though he is not playing in preseason
KC - T. Mathieu shoulder isn't as bad as thought, or so we are being told
