Which drafts did you like? Which didnt you? How did you feel about yours? Who didnt get picked that you thought would have? How do you rate your draft?

Cincinnati:
Taylor Mays (S); Arrelious Benn (WR); Corey Wootton (DE)

Love this draft. 3 very talented players with high upside at need positions for the Bengals.

I really, really wish we had started this after the Senior Bowl, because I would've taken Brandon Graham instead of Jerry Hughes. Other than that, I'm happy with my draft.

For the next one, can we do a full seven rounds? I'd really like to get down into the nitty gritty next time.

Coming at you
SF Draft;

1-13 Joe Haden CB
1-17 Brian Buloga OT
2-17 Jahvid Best RB
3-15 Vladimir Ducasse OG

I can only hope. 4 players who address team need and all values where they were drafted. Would love this to play out for SF, especially the Haden/Buloga first round.

I also like the Detroit draft with McCoy, Griffin and Johnson. Build up front with the big boys. Like the Pittsburgh draft as well. Good job rebuilding the secondary with Thomas after the OT he wanted was taken. Smart to not settle for the next best OT. Wilson in the 2nd will make a good nickel back and be an eventual starter and Watson is an excellent athlete from what I have read.

Picks that I wasn't in agreement with:

1:10 Tebow. I don't know if John made that pick based on what he would do or based on what he thinks Jacksonville will do. My guess would be the latter. There was a lot of talk at that time that Jacksonville would do this for the sake of selling tickets, but no way would it be the correct personnel move. Guy will probably be there in the 2nd if they really want him and if he's gone, oh well.

1:12 Hughes. Too early. In the real world you would trade down if you really fell in love with the guy. DD has already expressed that he wouldn't make this move again.

1:21 Mays. This is just a personal opinion since he actually would be a value pick at 21 based on where he will probably go. Miller did a great analysis of why he will fit in well in the Bengal secondary, but too much bust potential for my taste in the first round. Coverage skills are instinctive and if you don't have them coming in, you will probably never have them. Time will tell, but I don't like the pick.

2:1 Pike. Too many good players on the board to take Pike here. I know they need a QB, but they need pretty much everything. Griffin, Cox or Brown would have been better uses of that pick IMO.

I think we see a whole different draft in the second go around. Will be interesting............

Detoit:

Gerrald McCoy, Everson Griffen, Mike Johnson

I really liked this draft. I was hoping for Brandon Graham to fall to the second, but once he was taken Griffen was the second choice. First 2 picks build up the defensive line. I went defense with the first 2 picks and not any offensive line because Detroit really needs to build the defense. With the 3rd pick I was teetering between a CB and OG. Went with the OG. Mike Johnson will fill in right away and start protecting the 70 million dollar man.

Chargers:

Terrance Cody, Jonathon Dwyer, Eric Decker

First pick addressed the nose tackle position. This pick was made in hopes that Cody would drop some weight and get into better shape. Second pick addressed the running back position. I like Dwyer and could see him and Sproles as a deadly 1 - 2 punch. Then with the 3rd pick, I addressed the wide receiver position. In hopes that Decker makes a full recovery. He is one of most pro ready wide receivers entering the draft.

I made the pick based on what I thought Jax will do. I had lots of other ideas, but I think this franchise is so desparate to avoid LA theyll pull the trigger on this guy way too high.

Buffalo Bills
Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
Lamarr Houston, DT, Texas
Zac Robinson, QB, Oklahoma State

Buffalo has needs. I chose an OT to protect the QB, a DT to try and tighten up the line against the power attacks in Miami and New York, and a QB for Chan Gailey to groom. Im satisfied.

Jacksonville Jags
Tim Tebow, QB, Florida
Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida

I drafted this one like I think the Jags will, screwing up and taking Tebow way to early to try and sell tickets.

Dunlap was a potential 1st round talent who slipped, and with the low number of teams running a 4-3, he was good value in the 3rd.

Kareem Jackson, CB, Alabama

without a 2nd rounder, I'm very happy with this draft as both players fill obvious needs and at great value . . . not sure either player will actually be available at those picks though . . . ;)

Houston Texans
Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee
Nate Allen, S, South Florida
Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford

very happy with this draft as well and hope it plays out this way as all players fill needs and all 3 could theoretically start . . . ;)

surprise undrafted players even with only 3 rounds and with the noted questions/injuries:

RB Ryan Mathews
TE Rob Gronkowski

I'm also surprised about Mathews not going in our draft. He's one of my top-10 favorite players coming out this year, based on how I feel they'll ultimately perform vs. where they are projected to go. (value) I saw him play 3 games in 2009 and he demolished defenses every time. Seems to be one of the few traditional workhorse-type RB's in this year's class.
I'll be anxiously awaiting version 2.0 of this, preferably after the Combine. I'll go out on a short limb and say the results will be very different like they are every year we do the Mock. Only change I'd like to see is having more individuals picking for their own teams instead of multiple folks picking for different teams. I understand it's the nature of the beast, but still..

When grading, keep in mind that although Chicago/Miller only had one pick, he utterly stole Brandon LaFell in the mid-3rd round when this guy carries a late 1st/early 2nd round grade in most services. Also, their grade includes Jay Cutler.

Agree, he's one to keep an eye on.

I will be honest, I went into this mock totally blind. I hadn't had time to do any of the normal prep and I think it showed some. Still, considering I took one team I had not expected to worry about, nor really care for....I like what I got for Cleveland.

Cleveland: Dez Bryant Wr Okla State, Navorro Bowman LB Penn State, Aaron Hernandez TE Florida and Javier Arenas Cb Alabama were all key needs. The only real question I had was the first pick. CB is a huge need for Cleveland...but the offense simply had no tools to work with. I willingly give up Hayden...to get the premeir Wr in this draft...a key need. Add to that snagging Hernandez in the third...who is a Winslow Jr clone...and I think I helped the offense on this team hugely. Adding a solid rush LB and cb helps address some needs as well. This team has huge holes...and I assume they will look to draft some OL help...but to me the value was not there when I was picking. So went to fill other key needs instead.

Philadelphia - I REALLY like some of what I did here. I know Philly has key needs. They are in order I have them: LB, DE, S and OL. LB only slightly higher than DE due to what happened when injuries decimated the team. I know alot of places has Safety listed first. And...had any of the top three S's dropped I might have agreed. In a few mocks I see Mays dropping to Philly and I would be exstatic if it happened. But it did not ...and quite frankly I got a steal thanks to it.

First round I got one of the top rush DE's....in Pierre-Paul. A Cole clone who will finally give us some pressure on the opposit side of Cole. In my opinion, with his help we make the secondary better already. I also have seen multiple sites picking Pierre-Paul to go in the top 10 now. So a major steal.
Second round I got a dire LB fix with Eric Norwood. No more having to go out and trade for or sign aging has beens.
Third round got me some secondary help with Assante at S and Spievey at Cb. While Cb isn't dire...it is a need...and I like Spievey.

Again, might have been able to do better had I done more research. But in both cases I hit dire needs for each team.

Chiefs Draft

1.5 OKUNG - Absolute no brainer here, brings elite skill to a O line that desperately needs a pillar on the left side. OKUNG is the top OL in the draft and s a natural fit for the Chiefs.

2.4 GRESHAM - May be criticized for taking a TE here but his talent was too much to pass up in this draft slot and KC needs more weapons and GRESHAM certainly would bring a lot to a floundering offence.

2.18 SAPP - I love this pick. He is a stud. Enough said.

3.4 DIXON - was a toss up with GERHART but the Chiefs need a punishing runner to compliment CHARLES and DIXON is just that.

A-

I love what I did for KC Lol!!!!!!!

Raiders Draft

1.8 DAVIS - After seeing CAMPBELL in combine, he would be a better pick here, although the injuries do still bother me a bit. DAVIS would still provide a wall on the left side for Capt. Skittles.

2.7 JONES - DT is a dire need for the Raiders and I chose the best one left on the board here at the time. I like JONES a lot and think he will be a high end NFL talent.

3.5 ASAMOAH - Big talent, not sure he will be available at this juncture come April but the Raiders would love to have this guy on their O line.

3.21 LEFEVOUR - Serviceable NFL quarterback to replace Capt Skittles and fill the gap until they are able to acquire an elite QB in the future.

B+ For the Mock.
