Who will go after Steelers WR Mike Wallace now?

A lot of WR signings out their now. We viewed Mike Wallace as a big prize!!

Niners and Pats are probably out of the running now that they signed Maningham and Lloyd.

Beside the big money, you have to give up a #1 pick too. Scaring a lot of teams off, especially those with first rounders in the top half of the draft.

Ravens? Smith and Wallace would give them two burners..............

Bengals have 2 first round picks and all the cap space in the world to make it next to impossible for the Steelers to match.....now will they do it??? Likely not, but it would be a hell of a move if they did. Screw your divisional rival and line up Wallace and Green on the outside for years to come! Almost make too much sense for the Bengals to do.....

Given that any team who makes an offer that the Stealers do not match must forsake their first round pick for him, it makes the most sense for those teams at the bottom of the draft to consider the move. I like the Raven's to go after him.....

That makes the most sense to me too. Give up a later pick and take a top player from your biggest rival.

Would be fun to watch Wallace and Smith on the same team. Flacco would have a field day..........

Forcing the Steelers to eat Wallace this season is what the other 31 should do.
Deny Pitt the extra first round pick and make them explain to Mike why they left him dangling.
Plus he remains a cap hit.

Broncos had $40 million in cap space, and Manning only took $19 million of it. They can afford Wallace, if they want him.

Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free-agent WR Mike Wallace wants a contract that surpasses the eight-year, $120 million deal that Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald signed last year, according to a league source. Combine that with the first-round pick any team that signs Wallace to an offer sheet would lose if the Steelers didn't match the offer, and it is no surprise there has been so little news about Wallace recently. The San Francisco 49ers made an inquiry about Wallace during the opening week of free agency. However, they and the other teams that asked about Wallace were told the receiver was looking for a lot of money.

Ah, now the story is out.

He won't get that, not from Pittsburgh or anyone else. He will have to figure that out soon, as he won't be a Steeler next year either due to other Wr contracts coming up.
