Byron Leftwich signs with Tampa

the bucs o-line is pretty good, last i remember . . . i don't believe they are screwed at the qb position . . . if you give these guys some time and protection, they just might surprise ya . . . ;)

haha actually forgot gruden was gone. i just chalked one more qb up to tampa's usual ways. what a mess.

the sad thing is that any one of those QBs if cut would probably make minnesota's roster. :sadbanana:

Garcia has his own issues. A winning quarterback? yes he is, but the one thing hes never been called is the solution. Just as with the cuts of brooks and company, the brass was looking not only at this year, but next year and the following. If they didn't think the player would be around then when they make their run again, they decided to move on now. Keeping garcia only retards the solidification of a teams most important position.

IMO, this will be one of the most under-rated signings of the offseason. Lefty will get the job and the team will do well under him.

Lefty could provide more impact than many suspect. He has only made some spot appearances for the Steelers. But he has done more than just stepped in in a jam. He was more than just effective when he took over he was productive in a very positive way when he played.

QB's coach isn't all that impressed with either McCown or Leftwich. I'm loving Lefty's new nickname: "Slug"

Awesome.

Freeman took advantage of Byron Leftwich's groin strain and had more time with the first- and second-teamers Thursday, the St. Petersburg Times reports. Freeman made some impressive throws, including a 50-yard-plus deep ball to WR Pat Carter. That put the ball at the goal line, setting up Freeman's touchdown pass to WR Kelly Campbell, who caught a fade pass from the rookie.
