The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta does not expect free agent Brad Smith to re-sign with the Jets. Analysis: Mehta says it's "obvious" that Smith would like a bigger role in an offense than he had last season, and does not believe the Jets will be the high bidders for his services whenever free agency finally begins. Mehta also agrees with the notion that fifth-round pick Jeremy Kerley was drafted as Smith's de-facto replacement.
A guy to keep an eye on for leagues that award kick returner yardage as he was a 200+ point guy in those formats. Sounds like he will be moving on and could have some upside on a team that is a little lite in the WR dept.
