In our league cctekguy and myself have talked about the following trade. I send him M Turner ( a 13th round keeper) and Jay Cutler ( a 5th round keeper and he gives me Brees ( a first rounder) and Andre Johnson ( a second rounder). At first I was gung ho to make this trade but as time dragged by I have mostly changed my mind. While Brees and Johnson are as good as it gets at their positions I shudder to think about not taking a RB until the third round. Of course I'd likely keep Jacobs and lose that third round choice if we did make this trade. I'm interested to see if anyone here thinks this trade would be good for my team. What say each of you?

Kind of depends on your scoring system. If you're WRs give you the big points, then make the deal, if not, you may want to take a step back.

We are a PPR league that gives 2 bonus points for every 100 yards receiving in a game and six points for TD's. A 50 yard TD catch also receives 2 bonus points. 16 points plays by the WR's happen every week. Several times a year a WR puts up 40 or more.

I voted no, BTW.

I was really excited about making it a couple of months ago. The idea of no RB in the first two rounds doesn't bother y'all? What about the value I'd be giving up dumping Turner at round 13?

No, Why? Due to the huge amount of RBBC, and for that matter extra Rbs that get lots of receptions...I would do that deal in a heartbeat. Then you can go later and get Rbs like White, Jacobs, FWP, T.Jones and so on and so forth as you go.

We have to keep 3. If I made the deal I likely would keep Jacobs so my first pick would be in the fourth. If I dropped Jacobs in favor of a 14th round WR I'd be picking in the third round.

Jacobs should have a good year as long as he can stay healthy. But the down side is there might be slim pickens at RB in the 4th round. I'm assuming you start 2 RBs?

The trouble with that deal is that you lose that incredible late keeper value. Turner for a late late pick is such awesome value. I wouldn't give that up.

Analyze which players the other teams will be keeping. If you think you can get a good RB in the 4th Id do it. There are plenty of sleeper WRs this year, and with AJ he'll put up enough points so you can have a lesser WR2 and WR3.

My exact thinking of late. By round four in our league all of the starting RB's will be off of the board. Tho the WR spot is seeing much more importance than in yesteryear there are still plenty of owners in our league that believe in RB and RB in the first two rounds. Exceptions of course for the Brees' and Peytons...

When we discussed this deal Cutler was still a Bronco and I planned on keeping him. Now he's a Bear and doesn't have the same value.

I'm still anxious to get Turner and willing to give Brees and Johnson but we might need to tweak the last guy in the deal.

Nothing special....A guy you're just going to throw away anyway.
