He missed practice today. It seems highly unlikely the Steelers will play him against the Lions with Rashard Mendenhall starting to step up. Turf toe seems to be a tricky injury and his words aren't encouraging. Mendenhall would be a top 3 pick in fantasy football if he gets the solo start against the Lions.

I see Mendy taking over the starting RB spot unless he does a complete non-productive meltdown.

Turf toe can take a while to heal...it really depends on the person. With it being a big toe that's crucial. If he doesn't let it heal completely it can be really bad. It sucks because putting pressure on it, especially acceleration and cut kinds of pressure, for game performance are impossible...
