Will the Vikes have a roof next season?

That would be July or August. Move a couple meaningless preseason games. Who cares.

This is also assuming there IS a next season

And assuming that the repairs start immediately. If you wait until winter is over up in Minny HaHa it could impact some of the regular season.

Well its better than the idea of making an indoor stadium and outdoor stadium. Maybe offer to get some of your explosives experts to set their charges and bring that hunk of junk down.

It certainly has sounded for several years like they need a new place.

I always wonder about ownership pushing for new digs because I see what the Benson family has done in New Orleans with threats of leaving and such. The Superdome is not a marvel any longer but it's still an okay place to play football. Even more renovations are taking place there this off season. I'm happy that the state and Benson reached agreement on remodeling instead of rebuilding. BP killed our fishing economy and Obama is killing our oil economy. We haven't much else to turn to for big bucks. I despise the fact that the NFL is with holding giving us another suberbowl unless we get a new stadium.

Your owners daughter owns most of the downtown in the city I work in. What she did with that area is amazing.

I dont agree with them not letting party city hold another Super Bowl. Beats going to Miami for the 50th time

She seems committed to keeping the Saints in New Orleans after Tom passes on and I pray that is the truth.

According to the people in town they didnt think she would do what she did when she bought the place, but its very nice.

Not that I disagree, but you are talking about 2 years of construction probably. So where do they play until then? dunno:

That is true. I didn't think about that. I guess it depends on how much it would cost to fix the stadium. If they can afford to build a new stadium and fixe the old one.

Yep....or is this the team that ends up in LA? I know owner is commited to stay, but here is a golden opportunity if they new stadium once again gets voted down.

Well they already took the Lakers from them......

I dont think so. As far as where to play...only option is the University Stadium, but thats going to be an epic pain in the ass for them.

Im guessing its cheaper to fix the dome and then build, but Im not familiar enough with the area to suggest a site past something off Interstate 35
