Why should I take Chris Johnson at #1?

Our own RAM has a very good article about this on the main page. Why is Johnson the sure bet over MJD or Gore?
 
I wholeheartedly agree with Ram on CJ.

Guy is a head case waiting to happen.

He's on my team and I'm keeping him but only because I get him for a 3rd round pick. I've made moves to get Gore, have Greene, and will be looking for a sleeper in the draft.

In other words....I'm not betting my season on him.

Once the dust from the draft settles, I'll be shopping him for a sho'nuff #1 WR.
 
Not me at this point. My first rounder has to be signed, sealed and delivered healthy in both mind and body. I will go with the other 4 until the vibe surrounding CJ changes.
 
I may not be the most experienced FFBer, but I absolutely hate Chris Johnson

I have my rankings as: AP, MJD, Rice, even Gore over Chris Johnson

If I had him, I would try to trade him for one of the other studs and improve at another position

Well, Ram says "he won't repeat last years numbers". Not exactly going out on a limb and not giving a reason why he still isn't a good pick out of the first position. Granted, if you think someone else will outperform him, sure, don't be a lemming and draft Johnson first because everyone else is.

If he signs and is in camp, I would take him 1st or 2nd (ADP). Guy is just an amazing RB. Lightening fast and still runs with some power, so no need to take him out at the goal-line and absolutely no competition for carries.

Yeah, he probably won't repeat last year, but it was one of the great seasons of all time, so he doesn't need to repeat to still be worthy of the #1 pick......

I don't hate him at all. I just don't think his head is right, and that can lead to a disaster. He does deserve to be paid, and I can't gamble my first round selection on any player with this type of distraction.

CJ is a stud. I just have to pass this year unless things change and he drops past a partial handful of safer bets.

i just dont like him regardless. would put him at #3-5
 
I was hoping he'd make the next cover of Madden.... that would have been reason enough. Now, he's just the next diva in cleats.

Were you one of the guys jumping off bandwagon last year due to his "every coaches dream" nickname and thought his head was getting a tad too big??

I thought you were, but I easily could be wrong as well, I know there were a few who were very adament about that last summer.

AJ and Brees. Pretty good leftovers for the new kid. Championships are rare the first year when inheriting a poor team, but gonna happen this year.......

Dont let your hatred for CJ throw him the crapper, he is entitled to get payed and although CJ might not put up the stats of a season ago he is an elite RB that is easily in the top 3

eh. by "hate" i meant not only his attitude but how high everyone has him

i exaggerated. i would probably put it AP, MJD, CJ. I was amazed how people put Ray Rice so high after one season, but he's still top 5
 
just to add to my response

if i was to land the #1 overall in a draft where you could trade picks, i would try to trade back to 3 or 4 to land MJD or rice
 
I dont think anyone will match his numbers from last year but I still got AP the Purple Jesus at #1!! But CJ is a solid # 2 pick. He will go first or second in almost every draft!
