Who to blame: Saints or Brees

PFT has said that the Saints offer to Brees is nearly $19M while Brees is seeking slightly less than $21M per season making a difference of slightly less than $2M per.

Let's compare.

Brady's contract in 2010 pays him $18M per season. Manning's new, year to year deal with Denver can be worth $19.2 per season with bonuses.

To the average fan this seems like a fair, good faith offer. Where is Brees, the "so called" ultimate team player? Why can't a deal get done? Come on Brees, get back into the game. The team, city, and state needs you.

I'm one fan that really could care less whether you get that extra $2M or not and the number of fans that feel the same as me is growing. Don't believe it, Listen to WWL. All the warm and fuzzy feeling you've built up in this state are washing away as those of us that strugle to make our house notes watch you push your demands for that extra $2M per season. Cut a deal. Offer to sign for $19.3 and let's get rolling.
 
$19,000,000.00 per season works out to better than a million bucks a game. I'd be ashamed to ever say I cared about the citizens here. If you only look at 16 games per season and that's all it's going to be this year and only consider the 3 hours each game of actual full blown action you'd be making $395,833.00 per hour. Do not expect me to feel sorry for you. We won't mention the fact that in a 3 hour game you're only on the field for about 1 hour and 20 minutes average.
 
At some point enough is really enough....I agree Mud, time for Mud to get it done.
 
Brees doesn't care if you feel sorry for him. He feels he's worth more and he is trying to get it. If 2M is nothing then let the saints pay him. I will always try to make more money. I wouldn't care if people who make less then 10% of my salary dont get it. This will be an unpopular opinion.
 
Workin' on it rat now "O." Now Brees tells me it's the guaranteed $$ that's the hold up. It's like dealing with a wash woman "O" and he's trying my patience for sure.
