You're in a keeper league and every legitimate # 1 QB is on another team. You're loaded at every position except QB. A choice has to be made from these 2 guys to start your season off as your starter. Which player do YOU pick? Care to share your reasons?

I'll go Palmer but think that maybe this might be the year that Cutler moves up the rankings a bit. Still it has to be Carson for me again this year.

I think Cutler is on an all around better team, seems to be in better shape and now that Marshall is back with him, I see him having the better year. Carson had his chance to show us something late in the year last year and i failed to see anything I liked. I was pulling for Carson last year but it may be a lost cause.

Thanks JJ. In fairness Palmer had a lot of banged up receivers though and he did put up low end QB 1 numbers a few games. I expect Cutler to be the popular choice here but I've learned you never know for sure with the football minds on this forum. Someone always points out something that I never even considered. There's no greater weapon in fantasy play than the collective voices of those that roam these halls, IF you can draw them out. Getting each of the brightest minds here to chime in isn't always easy.

Okay, I am assuming you mean 2nd tier Qb this year.

Of those, the ones I am most high on, that can be had later are:
1) Schaub - fantasy seems to be a what have you done for me lately kind of interest. Don't be surprised to see this guy drop due to last years injury.
2) Cutler - Yep, he and Brandon Marshall are back together! Is the old magic there? Worth a chance late.
3) Palmer - he is a risk, especially if you get negative pts for Int's. But.....he has solid young Wrs, and a running game to support him. I like him to be a solid, not spectacular option, which by this premise fits...since you are loaded pretty much elsewhere.
4) tied - Fitzpatrick and Roethlisberger- Both have the chance for solid running games. Ben has much better Wr talent, but rumors are they will be run first again. Fitz has Stevie...and some young talent, but great Rb duo to lean on. Again, solid pts...but not Brady, Brees, Rodgers stud like.
5) Dalton - Yep, dreaded 2nd year. But I love what Cincy has done on Offense. They have a solid Rb, they have a young OC that will open up the play book more for Dalton, and A.J. has potential to be stud like at Wr. Add some very solid tools - and potential with rookie Wr. He could be a guy that will occasionally win a game for ya.

Thanks PhiCin. Of those you listed only Palmer, Cutler, and Fitz are going to be on the market come draft day. The others will be kept by other owners I'm pretty sure.

Are you back from Florida and was it a blast?

Yes, had a blast, and glad to be back!!

I would go with Vince Young. He's certain to beat out Vick in training camp.

Or, making a high profile trade for Bradford would be smart even if you have to give up a starter to get him.

I like Cutler here. More stable situation overall and with Marshall he has a legit #1 WR in which he has a lot of chemistry with.

Young is not an Eagle anymore. He was signed as a FA to Buffalo.
