Where will McNabb play next year?

Just like the annual Favre retire or unretire saga, seems like every year people wonder if this is the year the Eagles move on from the McNugget era. I believe he has 1 yr left on his contract, should the Eagles trade him while they can get something now and move on to Kolb? If they do decide to move him, who should go after him?

Here is a name I heard on Mike and Mike that makes a TON of sense: 49ers!

McNabb could come in and give this young and hungry team some leadership and consistency. This may be what this team to push them to the next level. If they would make this move I think they would become front runners in the NFC West next year if Warner retires.

Following options make huge sense to me:
Minnesota - if Favre is gone, HC is his former OC - win now option
San Francisco - Have Davis and young Wr to pair with him, plus Gore
Carolina - Have S.Smith and great running game to support him - win now option
Cleveland - Heckert new GM...and want to win now - potential WC offense to run

just my $0.02

Nope. I think they will extend Kolb and take McKnobb the distance on his deal. Im not sure why, as Id think they need to move him now, but it just smells like Philly will botch the job.

I bet they test the market on McNabb. It is a known fact this is as far as he can take the team. They need to move him to Oakland and play Kolb. Let me say that I think he is a fine QB. I just don't think he is a Super Bowl QB. Most aren't!

They should, but I just feel like they are going to screw the pooch on this thing somehow.

Maybe some feelers, but nothing more. They win by losing if they just ride him until the end of his contract. Ton of money available if the uncapped rumors come to fruition, plus Kolb proved he's entirely capable of slinging it recklessly around the yard with decent results. They'll need to draft a QB fairly early this year though, just in case.
If he's dealt, don't count out Arizona if Kurt calls it a day. That also presents the "win-now" option. They'd have the money available.

Think he's gone from philly phic?

I honestly don't know. Reid loves him. Now, is that love to keep McNabb happy? I don't know that either.

Here is my "belief"

Philly has done this time and time again. They don't sweat letting talent go if they feel they are either A) too expensive for what they give to the team or B) are not good enough to be on the team.

You can go through their recent history of players that were fan favorites...but moved on.

I think this may just be the year to do a full sweep. McNabb to be gone and Westbrook maybe as well. Time for the new guard....of Kolb, McCoy, Jackson, Maclin and Celek to carry this team.

If Kurt Warner decides to retire, D.McNabb to Zona would be a good move for both McNabb and the Cards IMO, the WR are in place running game strong all that's missing is a quality QB

In McNabb's defense. He has NEVER had a WR crew like what Arizona has. I think Philly is close with the youngsters they have now....but it will take time for them to fully develop. Arizona would be a great target for a guy who wants to finally win a championship.

Its probably a great time for the Eagles to trade McNabb, but they won't want him haunting their playoff hopes/progress. I would think they'll try to move him to the AFC first... maybe Cleveland or Buffalo... maybe Jacksonville. It would help get seats sold.

His career is getting short, cant see him wanting to go to the Browns or Bills, will never get a ring with either of those two teams

Certainly it would be better to also address McNabb's desires when it comes to trading, but the Eagles don't have to make him happy. Richard Seymour wasn't happy to go to Oakland, for example.

McNabb could go the retire/un-retire route and go where he wants

LOL.

I think Zona would need to get a couple defenders in the mix if they got the knob, but they would certainly be a contender for the world title.

The Cards need to do what ever it takes to get McNabb if available, Leinart will send them back to going nowhere fast
