Draft Countdown - 2009 NFL Mock Draft

Scott Wright's final mock has one of the biggest curve balls I have seen:
Tyson Jackson at #3 to KC!!!

This guy wasn't even considered a top 10 pick a month ago, and a borderline first by some. Now he's jumped in the top 5??? Sorry, not happening! And if Cincy actually takes Andre Smith with Eugene Monroe left on the board I will shoot myself!

That has to be considered pretty wild. So Far, KC has been pretty consistent with wanting Curry. The other 3 in the top 5 are all drafting Sanchez now ;)

It is Christmas Morning!

so many good things happening.

Crazy ass shit in KC. and Miller is gonna borrow my Clint Eastwood model, Dirty Harry .44 Magnum if Cincy takes Andre Smith with Eugene Monroe on the board.

I'll pick it up tomorrow, Miller.

WOW, Kiper has made this switch as well!!!

Where did this rise come from???

This would really be Christmas come early for the Browns, getting Curry would be a dream for them you'd have to think!

Chiefs are switching to a 3-4. According to your profile on him, pass rush is his weakness... so... outside LB conversion doesn't seem likely. They wouldn't really spend the 3rd on a 3-4 DE would they?

Jackson is a good fit for a 3-4 DE.....may be his best spot, but I agree O, are you going to spend a #3 on a 3-4 DE???

I would absolutely be shocked if they take Jackson, but way too many are calling it now. Can you believe two of the best players in this draft (Curry and Crabtree) could fall down to 8-9 in this draft? What a joke! :banghead:

All it ever takes is one "inside source" mentioning something and everyone across the net who owns a mock runs to update it. Like these amateur fly-by-night dudes think they're scooping people.

I'm reasonably certain Scott Wright doesn't have Scott Pioli on speed dial.

I'm certain he doesn't either.

But at this point I would upgrade Scott Wright from the amateur fly-by-night status. IMO, that is one of the better draft sites out there and has been around for over a decade ;)

The site is fine, I'm just saying when I go there for mocks and player info, I pretty much get regurgitated information from the ESPN's and Fox Sports's of the world.

To stay with the thread, that site wasn't the first that had Jackson to the Chiefs at 3. I want to think this is another smoke screen by KC because Jackson's stock has been skyrocketing over the past week. They really need to take Curry and just wait for their next pick, unless they can trade back a few spots and get a free extra pick.

This just reeks of the former Patriots guys trying to outsmart the room.
