The Philadelphia Daily News reports former Eagles RB Brian Westbrook remains without a team, and HC Brad Childress said the Vikings are not interested at the moment, but could be in the future. "He is a good player, and I have a lot of admiration and respect for him," Childress said. "I do not know if we are far enough down the free-agent trail yet, but he is certainly a guy that is on our board and on our list, as are others. There is no interest as of right this second, but do I respect his abilities, absolutely. I have a lot of admiration for him."

Exactly. wouldn't Westy be done after 1 more concusion? The Vikes need a reliable back that can step in if AP gets injured.

The fact no one has contacted Westbrook should tell you where he is at. I think he doesn't play this year...maybe tries a come back next.

Any more heard on whether GB is more than just interested in signing Westie? Can't help but believe that unlike Green who backed up Grant, Westbrook would actually move ahead of him if he is healthy and has his head on straight.

I think it is less him being one hit away but having it in his head that he is one hit away. I think last year really messed with his head more than anything else.
