Westbrook an UFA in 2010?

Got this in an email blurb:

RB Brian Westbrook (PHI) John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports a revision in the five-year, $32 million extension Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook signed last year indicated the $7 million option bonus due in 2010 was not exercised, which means Westbrook will become a free agent after the 2010 season, according to sources.

In other Eagles news, a revision in running back Brian Westbrook's contract means that his final season with the club will be 2010. Of course, the Eagles could certainly sign Westbrook to an extension or place the franchise tag on him after the 2010 season, but that's unlikely given the fact that he'll be 32 at the time. Thanks to salary-cap czar John Clayton for bringing us this news.

So, it looks like Philly is already fixing on the future again...as they have done in the past with big players. They have drafted McCoy, and will use him some this year to break him in, and then probably let him take over more in 2010. Then they can decide to extend, Franchise tag or let Westbrook go after that.

Man...isn't this when McNabb also will be gone too...if not extended...hmmmm....
