Tennesee has seen enough, and fires HC , Mularky taking over
Dallas has released Randle by all reports
More later
okay, lets continue.....
First, did anyone see the game of the week? New Orleans vs. NYG?? Lets just see what we got:
1) One Qb tied NFL record for 7 passing Tds in one game
2) Both teams set the record for most TD passes in one game in 13.
3) 101 pts scored in ONE game!
Just WOW! And what did we learn most? One, Saints aren't dead. Giants can't sustain any kind of momentum to take the NFC East, and oh by the way, if you have any fantasy player playing Giants or Saints....PLAY THEM!!!
So, lets see what else is going on.....
The AFC South is an absolute mess. I stated it last week, and am proclaiming it as a lock this week, the winner of this division will quite probably be 0.55 or worse. My how far the colts have fallen! Haven't fired HC yet...but oh say so long to OC, and hello to chudzinski! I actually love this move. But don't look now....Houston is tied for first(YUCK!!) and Jacksonville is a game behind. Add to that as stated above, Tennessee has seen enough of the Whiz....and have instated Mularky as HC pro temp..... At least Mularky and help Mariota more now.
AFC East is what we expected... Patriots are running away with it, Jets lose games they should not(was that not a dominant game by Oakland!) and don't have a real healthy Qb to play but a rookie. Buffalo is normal Ryan jeckyl and hyde. But have their Qb coming back this week. Then you have Miami that is back to being this years Miami when playing a real NFL team. So much for Campbell love.
AFC North - like the game or not, ugly win or not - Cincinnati made a statement this week, and pretty well put a death lock on the division. As long as they don't implode, they have it locked. Pittsburgh got Big Ben back(Brown and H.Miller fantasy owners rejoice!!) but lost LeVeon Bell and are back to DeAngelo Williams(who has found new life with a real O-line....). Can they make a run to get back.??? I don't think so. Cleveland is back to Manziel this week, after McCown was basically killed last week. Baltimore gets a win, but are much too far back to do more than play spoiler this year. Plus they lost Steve Smith arguably their best Wr. Yikes.
AFC West - Denver made a statement this week as well, slapping around the NFC's best team with an incredible defense, and scoring pts vs. a very good defense. They don't win fancy, but they keep winning. Meanwhile SD can score pts in droves, just can't win. Oakland shows the West that the future may be now, as well as the future, and KC isn't dead, but still on life support.
Playoff expectations:
AFC East - NE
AFC North - Cincy
AFC South- who cares? will say Indy.
AFC West - Denver
WC - will stick with Jets, but am getting warm and fuzzy with Oakland getting the other WC.
NFC
NFC East - otherwise known as the NFC's version of the AFC South - we can't get a team to take this and run. Dallas has lost alot with Romo and Dez out, and are still in it. How ridiculous is that?? If Philly can ever get Bradford and running game on track, or if Dallas can hold out for a Romo return...this could be fun to watch toward the end of season. Washington still sucks by the by.
NFC North - GB loses! Can this open the door for the Vikes? No, but at least it makes it more fun to watch. GB is hurting folks, and the loss of Nelson was very evident last week. Adams or someone has to step up and give Cobb room to work. OH and Lacy needs to be Lacy again. Vikes won ugly, but still won which is all that matters. Chicago and Detroit fighting for the #1 draft pick next year......
NFC South - Carolina is for real folks. Again, they are not pretty to watch but they keep winning, and just have to make sure Atlanta doesn't surprise them. Atlanta lost one they should not have, to Tampa, and Tampa showed they are growing and will be fun to watch in a few years. Saints make it to 0.500 and could be fun to watch for WC stuff.
NFC West - Arizona got a first half scare from Cleveland and then turned on the afterburners in 2nd half. They still have a death lock on the division. But could be fun to see if St. Louis can continue to improve now that Gurley is going Beastly. Seatle just isn't right, losses on both lines are clearly showing on this team.
Playoff expectations:
NFC East - No one??? Will lean Giants for now.
NFC North - GB - but this isn't as locked as it should be
NFC South - Carolina
NFC West - Arizona
WC - Minnesota, Atlanta
Wrap up - HC moves are happening now...Miami has done so, now Tennessee has done so, still think Detroit and Indy will also make a change....and probably soon.
