Injuries continue to mount and this week we're already having to replace Calvin Johnson, Javid Best, Peyton Manning, Joseph Addai, Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne, Austin Collie, Pierre Garcon, LT, Justin Keller, Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Shonn Greene, Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson, Arian Foster, Owen Daniels, and DEEP picks like Burleson, Scheff, Pett, White, Brown, Cotch, Sanchez, Walter, Ward, and jacoby. Add to these those who are injured and coming off of injury and we realize how important it is to Dig DEEP.
Qb's-
- Josh Freeman is home vs. the Rams, after an embarassing loss last week to the World Champion Saints. He will find things much easier to navigate this week and should be good for 250 yards and 2 TD's.
-Matt Cassell is gonna become a fixture the next 4 weeks as he is vs. the Jags, vs. the Bills, at the Raiders, and at Denver during that stretch. Might be a nice time to grab him for injuries and bye week coverage as he is already off his bye. Expect 275 yards and 2Td's for him this week on the lowside, as the Jags will make him look like Steve Young.

Rb's- Did we all get acquainted with Danny Woodhead last week?
- Grab CBuck if you need a flex play this week (ppr), as Moreno isn't quite ready for the whole load, he did fumble his first carry last week, finding the bench for the rest of the half. CBuck should gash the Raiders Def with his limited touches to the tune of 80 combined yards with 5 receptions and a TD.
- Mike Goodson is my DEEP RB selection of the week. He will suffice just fine as a flex selection this week (ppr). He should account for 60 total yards with 4 receptions and a nice shot at breaking one of them for a nice td with his speed.
- McGahee wasn't traded before the deadline so his workload will return this week and he is a nice start for a squad needing some assistance in a non-ppr league. 40 yards and a cheap TD. This could increase if the Ravens get nasty at home vs. the Bills and run out the second half.
-Keep track of the injury to Torrain and be ready to jump on FCFS waivers for Keiland Williams.

Wr's-
-Denario Alexander has a mention already on the forum and I agree that he is a nice DEEP pickup this week. He has all the tools and a hungry young agressive QB.
-Don't be afraid to plug Jordy Nelson in your lineup as he is getting all of the Finley production from the slot thus far. That could change but those are productive routes for Rodgers to Target, and it will "take a village" this week to beat the Vikes. 4 catches for 65 yards and a possible TD.
- Josh Morgan looked motivated last week and is worth a mention as a possible fill in target this week. Alex Smith missed him badly twice or we'd be talking about his breakout week. The Panthers have a nice pass defense but they will be concentrating on Crabs and Davis. I look for the Panthers to give up 5 catches and 80 yards to Josh this week, anyone of those catches has the chance to go the distance.
- I like what I'm seeing from Damien Williams and feel that with Collins at QB, we have the chance to see a pretty good week out of the rookie from USC. Young was finding him also so if he would happen to start it wouldn't change my mind. I think Williams has supplanted Gage(inj) as the third down chain mover, and will be good for 5 catches and 75 yards.
- Jason Avant will be a carbon copy of Damien Williams this week.

Te's-
-Evan Moore is my biggest hunch of the week and I feel he will be a very nice plug in at TE this week. His 9 catches for 202 yards or 22.4 ypc is an eye-popper. He gives young Colt a big Target to stretch the middle of the field with. Massaquoi and Cribbs took it on the chin last week, but many dont' realize that Watson, Moore, Stuckey, and Hillis are 1, 2, 3, and 4 as far as yardage goes for the Browns and they are intact. I see a concerted effort by this young offense to move the chains and eat the clock, keeping a resurgent Brees off the field. When a deep shot is taken it will be to Moore.
-Cooley says he's playing but I do not know if NFL rules will allow it. That was no minor concussion he recieved last week. I look for a motivated Fred Davis to step in and show what he's got. McNabb will find him and it could be a nice day for this tandem if Cooley is cuffed to the bench. I see 5 to 6 catches and and a nice chunk of yardage between the 20's but things getting tougher as the team appoaches the redzone. If he takes one in it will be from outside the 20.

Goodluck everyone, and if you need a fillin kicker grab Gano.

Love the Cassel call, I have him going in place of Peyton in one of my leagues! So good to see him make the list.

For RB, Mike goodson? Wow, Was Woodhead too easy for the deep end? Or Crayton? lol

Well, so skipping all the "easy" ones, one name I would add on to the bottom of that WR list would be Stuckey. He's just the last man standing in Cleveland. And I dont think it will matter what Cleveland does with the clock, I see NO destroying them, and Cleveland are going to need to aim for some WRs. He just needs 1 grab, and the saints are capable of blowing a coverage.

The one other WR is Buster Davis. If somehow Crayton is available, obviously Crayton is the guy to get. However, if Floyd-Naanee-Gates are all out. Hey, he's a starting WR on a good offense, and he scored last week.

I like Buster a bit more cause I think Rivers is a great QB, but overall, either of these two guys are only bye week replacements, no long term potential here.

Remember though, Chansi is by no means a deep threat. He does he thing underneathe the coverage. This plays into the Moore call at TE as Moore IS the Deep threat with Cribbs hurt. I wonder where his 22+ yards per reception ranks him this year.

Great point! Not so much the long bomb, but Im thinking more a 15 yard grab, and then the saints fall asleep on coverage. But yes, if your going for Stuckey, MAN, your in big trouble. This is a 12 team 3WR+ Flex TE/WR, or 14 team league gamble. He only gets a call since the steelers killed everybody else.

What about Patrick Crayton? Seems like everyone on the Chargers is banged up except him. Naanee, Floyd and Gates are all banged up. He's available in most leagues. I wouldn't be suprised to see 6 rec, 80 yds, 1 td from him this week.

I agree! After his breaking out last week I figured I needed to be deeper this week.

Liking Moore at TE even better after finding out a few things. First off it sounds like Cribbs is a go and that helps pull the safety off the top of his deep routes. Also I just discovered that Moore scored his TD in week one, was concussed early in week two. He sat out weeks 3 and 4, but promptly got back into the offensive flow in weeks 5 and 6. This tells me that he has a definite role in this offense as a deep threat. It also tells me they have called his number with Delhomme, Wallace, and McCoy behind center equally.

- Just shy of 200 yards and 2 TD's. Three more weeks of matchups to expect the same.

CBuck should gash the Raiders Def with his limited touches to the tune of 80 combined yards with 5 receptions and a TD. - This game went south in a hurry and CBuck never found the field.
- Mike Goodson is my DEEP RB selection of the week. He will suffice just fine as a flex selection this week (ppr). He should account for 60 total yards with 4 receptions and a nice shot at breaking one of them for a nice td with his speed. -Goodson went backwards on his only catch .05 pts. at flex is a killer.
- McGahee wasn't traded before the deadline so his workload will return this week and he is a nice start for a squad needing some assistance in a non-ppr league. 40 yards and a cheap TD. This could increase if the Ravens get nasty at home vs. the Bills and run out the second half. I forgot Willis was a Bill. It wasn't lost on he or his coach. 74 combined, 1 reception and a TD.
-Keep track of the injury to Torrain and be ready to jump on FCFS waivers for Keiland Williams. ***No injury to Torrain and he started***

Wr's-

That could change but those are productive routes for Rodgers to Target, and it will "take a village" this week to beat the Vikes. 4 catches for 65 yards and a possible TD. - I expected more production on his 4 catches but got the 4 catches. He was missed badly wide open in the back of the endzone.
38 yards on two catches and a rush.

Young was finding him also so if he would happen to start it wouldn't change my mind. I think Williams has supplanted Gage(inj) as the third down chain mover, and will be good for 5 catches and 75 yards. -promising start to the game then Britt went off. 3 for 25

I see a concerted effort by this young offense to move the chains and eat the clock, keeping a resurgent Brees off the field. When a deep shot is taken it will be to Moore. - Missed badly!! Real funny game with Saints controlling the action and Brees tossing 4 TD's and 4 Picks. Sadly to of the TD's were to a Def. Lineman now known as twinkle toes! This does not back me off of Moore at all.
It plum ruined her day. The good thing is that we already had the ribs, chicken, and sides done before her mood went south.
