Pretty bad but not as bad as the final score made it out.
Niners played a great defensive game. Seattle's only first half points came on a safety and a field goal after a turnover where Seattle had a short field. Wison had 1 completion I think.
The offense couldn't generate anything and the defense had to keep going out there. Reid had to leave and Dahl is a huge downgrade (slow white guy). The two TDs were after penalties extended drives after they had them stopped, one was a facemask as Wilson was going to the ground, just something that happens, while the other one was a personal foul on Smith when he tapped one the Seattle lineman on the shoulder pad after the play. Very petty, but really stupid.
If the defense plays with that kind of intensity the entire season, they will be outstanding. Niners need another WR badly as Williams just isn't that good. I would rather see Patton or even Baldwin out there. If Crabtree can't come back this year, they need to make a move for a WR. Boldin is excellent for what he is, but you need someone else to stretch the field. Trades are rare in the NFL, but they need to make something happen if they want to compete for a return to the super bowl.
My biggest concern is lack of discipline. Stop all this extra pushing and shoving after each play. You see it in every NFL game, but man, grow up and stop this shiot after the play.
I also think this was a good wake up call for Kaep. He was buying into the hype and he should now know, he has a lot of things to work on.
One game in a long season..........
