Week 2 ..... Ask Coachnorm

Meanwlhile I will try and throw some stuff out there:

San Diego Chargers WRs Vincent Brown (hamstring) and Patrick Crayton (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday. Risky plays as we don't really know what the WR. pecking order is when everyone is healthy.

Justin Tuck sounds like he has a serious shot at playing this week But probably a GTD. OSI sounds unlikely again.

Jacoby Ford sounds iffy with a hamstring but even if he plays he will probably not have the extra gear that makes him special.

Sydney Rice sounds really iffy again and like Ford maybe a step slower if he makes it out there.

Marion Barber returned to practice but had soreness (calf) and missed Thursday, very iffy

EJ Henderson had his knee x-rayed, negative.... but still has swelling so keep an eye on him. Xavier Adibi is backup.

Sidney Rice is killing me, and the Hawks, with this stuff. Hope he's cozy on the couch with his Sex and the City season 2 dvd set. :****ed:

Crabtree's foot remains a big problem, he tried to go last week and took an early powder, had an x-ray.....negative. But.

A lot has been made of Miles Austins knee early in the week. Don't be drawn in...... it is Wrapped but he has fully practiced so far this week.

Green Bay Packers CB Sam Shields could start at cornerback in Week 2 if CB Tramon Williams (shoulder) is not able to play in the game.

I am blessed with no Sidney Rice on any of my squads but a lot of owners invested some serious pickage on Rice long before I had the stones to.

Per the Denver Post, Brandon Lloyd (groin) and Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) didn't look to be on track to practice Friday. (via chris wessling on twitter)

It does sound like Rice may be on the field this week but it doesn't sound like an at full speed deal right now. Todays practice (fri) may give us some more intel.

If he does play, it will be at less than 100%. With Tarvarus Jackson throwing. In Pittsburgh. I hope no one is THAT desperate to plug him in.

WR Lee Evans was in a boot on Wed. but was a full participant in practice Thurs.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis (calf) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 15. probably GTD.

Doctors have cleared Adam Jones (neck) for action once he comes off the PUP list next month, the Bengals' official site reports. Not really week 2 stuff but Bengals fans have to be happy that Jones is 100% at this point even though he is stuck on the PUP.

Jax is being really hush hush about Marcedes Lewis as of late. Starting to sound like there is more to his calf/thigh than being told. They are really going to need him to play a good game if they want to have any chance of pulling the upset.

Today, I think is the key to finding out so since the Jags are an east coast team hopefully we get some useful intel by early evening today.

Coach Marvin Lewis is confident that QB Andy Dalton (wrist/forearm) will be available Sunday against the Broncos, the Bengals' official site reports. Available..........starting???

Rising stock/ falling stock: Ben Roethlisberger conceded after the loss to the Ravens that his connection with Brown still needs work after the two connected on just 2-of-9 targets. Brown has a promising future as a playmaker, but he's going to start losing snaps to Emmanuel Sanders.

A lot of Fantasy owners need Marcedes Lewis to play. But you as a Jax fan really need him to show up and be effective if your guys are going to beat the Jets this week.

With him in last week, the offence was suprisingly effective. Nothing flashy just productive. He went out and it went to hell quick. I know one player doesnt make the team but him being such a key factor in the offence, he will be needed.

Still dont think we will beat the Jets but with Lewis we have a better chance to at least keep it interesting.

Updates:

Jacoby Ford: "almost certain not to play".

Marion Barber: listed as doubtful.

Knowshon Moreno: questionable, but beat writers doubt he will play.

Roy Williams: Missed practice Friday, but Lovie refusing to rule him out yet.

Arian Foster: Kubiak saying "he won't get a normal snap count".

Hakeem Nicks: Missed practice Friday.
