Devito(DE) and Johnson(LB) KC are both out for season
D.Ellerbe LB Miami done for season
E.Mathis OL PHI out 4-8 weeks with grade 3 sprain of MCL
J.Matthews OT ATL - MRI coming on High Ankle sprain
A. Barbre OT Phi - high ankle sprain
Mankins G TB - hyper extended knee
D.Martin Rb TB - Knee injury

Still to be defined:
Knee injury to Tate
J.Cameron TE Cle re-injured shoulder

Not week 1 related but:
R.Mathis DE IND is out for season with ruptured Achilles.
LaMichael James asked for and was given his release from San Fran.

haven't seen anything on it yet. If they are going to do an MRI, swelling needs to be down, so that may not be a great sign.

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) missed the fourth quarter and overtime of the Week 1 game against the Buffalo Bills due to a hamstring injury. Head coach Marc Trestman said Sunday, Sept. 7, that Jeffery was prepared to re-enter the game. 'Alshon was prepared to go in there at specific times. I'll just leave it at that.' Jeffery did not appears to be walking with a limp or any type of discomfort after the game.


Footballguys view: It's odd that Jeffery didn't re-enter the very close game, but as long as he is active against San Francisco next week, we'll still say to start him.

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) will miss 'some time,' according to head coach Jay Gruden.


Footballguys view: Hamstring injuries are known to linger if not treated properly. Reed is an athletic move tight end, but he has a long history of getting banged up. We'll see Niles Paul fill in while Reed is out.

Thanks Phic. I hate waiting to hear how bad injuries are. Mathis ruptures his Achilles and you find out the same day. I figured we would have heard about these other guys by now.
