Thomas says he will play this week
The News
Saints' running back Pierre Thomas told beat writer Jeff Duncan that he will be playing this week. Thomas was out of Week 1 with a knee injury.

Thomas probably watched Mike Bell put together another great showing yesterday and decided he needs to get back on the field if he wants to get his share of carries. Bell should still get a heavy workload this week even if Thomas does play, but Thomas figures to get his opportunities as well when he returns.
