Washington and Oakland are close to a deal to send Campbell to Oakland

Looks like it is for a 4th rd pick in 2012! Not even next year.....hmmmm

Oakland has extended his contract for another year. Have him under contract for 2 years now. Nice deal for Oakland.

Sorry Miller i dont see this a major improvement, Campbell wont take the Raiders to the next level.

Better not see any of that Dolphin // College offense crap

I will agree that a 4th rounder in 2012 is a bit odd

its not odd when you consider they HAD to dump him. I also think Campbell is an improvement. All your offense needs is a guy who can keep turnovers down and complete about 20 passes a game. He can do that.

Campbell may surprise you, and the fact that they didn't give up anything for him, I'd say that is a nice move. I agree that it's not taking them to the next level, but no offense, that team is a far ways away from that. This is at least a positive step and a big improvement over anything they had at QB. Time to turn the page on the J Russell experiment.

I will give you that, Campbell is a step up and i will hope for the best, if Campbell can get the Raiders to an 8-8 season (will make me happy as hell) and i believe its possible, the Raiders have a lot of young talent with Z.Miller, L.Murphy, C.Schilens, and yes even DHB if he can catch the ball will give the running game a chance to produce

The Russell experiment should have had the plug pulled two seasons ago and the signing of Campbell sealed his fate.

All I know is the Raiders/Niners regular season game is looking a whole lot more interesting in the last few days. I can't wait! Gonna be the first game I've gone to since.....Bucs/Niners like 7 years ago...
