LeMichael James.....sorry, where there is smoke there is fire, not interested in seeing another Heisman forfeited in a few years.

Ill start this by saying I applaud you for being truthful with your reasoning. I honestly believe that more Heisman voters are holding this very same concern than are admitting it.

That said, judging strictly by on the field performance, team performance, value to said team, etc, do you believe LaMichael James is better than Cam Newton?

I'm saying that the Heisman is more than on the field performance. Their is a certain level of sportsmanship and character that I expect from a Heisman hopeful. There is just too much smoke here......did he do it all?? Probably not....did he and his father do something??? Damn skippy they did and they are all over him and will find it. The Heisman is the most identifiable individual award in sports IMO and having them taken away after the fact is an embarrassment I'd like to not see repeated.

Is Newton amazing on the field and a clear favorite if the rest of this did not exist? Yes, but it does and I am not simply willing to overlook it and give him the benefit of the doubt.....this is not the court system.....it is an award....He would not be on my ballot at all and I hope more voters take that stance. Newton NOT being in New York is what I want to see.
