Vikings hire Mike Zimmer

Another head coaching position is filled and another Bengals assistant lands a head job. Mike Zimmer has been hired as head coach of the Vikings.

I hate to Zimmer go, he has done an amazing job with the Cincy D. That said, this is great news for Zimmer and I hope he succeeds.

It will be interesting to see how Cincy fills the DC role. Will they promote from within again like they did on offense, or will they go outside the organization and bring someone else in?

Yeah I hate it for the Bengals myself. It doesn't hardly seem fair to lose both coordinators from a team that was owe so close to putting it all together. Good luck to you fans up there.

In all honesty, would have loved for the Bengals to have kept Zimmer and let Lewis go. Know that was not going to happen.

Great move for Zimmer, and think he is a better HC material than Gruden. Only time will tell though.

Big thing for Zimmer is who will be the OC, and what they plan to do at Qb
