(nfl.com)The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports Vikings WR Percy Harvin has not taken part in any of the voluntary offseason workouts, but coach Brad Childress said he's not bothered by that. Harvin has stayed in Florida to work out. Childress saw Harvin, who has added 10 pounds of muscle this offseason, when he visited Florida before the draft for a private workout with Gators players. "I can account for what I saw with Percy in Florida, what he looked like, what he's gained strength and weight-wise," Childress said. "Again, he's not being a slacker, either."

Analysis: Harvin beat all expectations in his rookie season with 60 receptions for 790 yards (13.2 avg.) and six touchdowns. He also added 135 rush yards on 15 carries and another 1,156 yards on 42 kickoff returns with two more scores. Look for Harvin to have another solid year in 2010, and he's worth drafting as a low-end No. 2 Fantasy WR with a mid-round pick in all leagues.

I like Harvin to improve this year as well, but of course, some of his success is tied to Brett Favre coming back, based on the pre-Favre Vikings WR performance and the backup QB's in Minnesota.

However, I think Sidney Rice would be affected more if Favre doesn't come back.

rotoworld,
Percy Harvin admitted that he continued to suffer from migraine-like headaches during the offseason.

Harvin downplayed the severity of the headaches, saying it was "nothing that stopped me from having a workout or anything." Still, these migraines caused Harvin significant problems last season, as he missed one game and had a diminished role in other games thanks to the issue. It's a situation to monitor.

Someone should ship him some BC Powder.

rotoworld,
In addition to Percy Harvin, Vikings WR Sidney Rice also packed on about eight pounds of muscle this offseason.

Harvin, one of the strongest receivers in the league, didn't really need the added muscle, but it should help the thinner Rice absorb hits and avoid injuries. Rice will work out at Larry Fitzgerald's offseason camp in July for the second straight summer.

Harvin Hopes To Overcome Migraines in Sophomore Season

Harvin hopes headaches stay away in second season

What I really like about last season's offensive rookie of the year's interview is that is is very much not focused on himself, despite having an exceptional start in his professional career, Harvin seems to be more focused on the Vikings developing into a championship team and in what ways he can better himself to help them reach that ultimate goal. I think we all want guys like that on our team, especially if they have that attitude at such a young age.

Yeah he's a great kid definitely.
Migraines are the worst things to go through that I relate to first hand. Now, mentally is even more of a challenge if your in his situation, being young and strong like that and it's 20 minutes to game time, what decision will you make etc. That's hard on you mentally.
I wonder if Childress is going to pre plan some KR time to a new man and let Harvin rest that head for WR spot only?
