Or so says Jim Harbaugh. Jim raved about how much Vernon's routes have improved and he went on to say that "Every facet of the tight end position, he's really excelling in that right now." Davis struggled early last season in the new offense but his last few games he plain out exploded. If the big two TE's are off the board you could do a lot worse than Davis who could make it into the elite group this season.

I can see him rising a bit from bottom of the top 10 like he was last year, but see his ceiling around 5-7.
 
Call me a homer but i believe now that they have more options besides davis, gore and crabtree things will open up more for davis. Last year it was davis or bust in the passing game and one in a while crabtree would step up. Davis in my opinion will have a bettet year then witten.

sorry i dont share your 49er optimism. it's verrrry early yet but theres alotta teams in the NFC alone I dont see them beating this year in the playoffs. Their division is abhorrent though, luckily for you you can pretty much ink them in a playoff spot barring catastrophic injuries
