USC being ranked 7th is a joke

Quite Simply...WTF!

What in the hell has this team done to deserve to be 7th? They beat Ohio State...OK..


They also got beat by Washington and then laid another turn against hapless Washington State.

USC is in prime position to be someones California in a week or two.

they have one of the better non-conference wins in the country so far.

But I do not think you can reward a team for constantly failing when they "should" win, and they do this every year. i agree, 7 is too high.

With every passing game I wonder if USC won because Tressel ate it when the game was on the line.

Since that game went final these two teams have played similar competition. Ohio State has mauled its opponents. USC has looked crappy.

You are absolutely correct....not sure he ate it when the game was on the line, but he played to conservatively the entire game and didn't put them away when they had the chance.

Thats what I was referring too. No one likes their HC questioned but more and more its obvious Ohio St should have won that game by 2 or 3 TDs

What burns my ass about all this is USC lost to UW and only dropped a few spots and then beat Wash ST and jump back to #7. And this week teams in the top 10 that lost dropped like crazy. They all go outside the top 15. USC is not that good. They got beat by an unranked team(at the time) and that team loses to a Stanford team that sucks this week. I see it as, if a so called elite team loses to a team that is not ranked and hasn't been for yrs, there is nothing that justifies a #7 ranking. At best i would put USC at #15, 'cause they can't beat a good team when it comes down to it. The way these rankings go, it tells me one thing, USC means money in a BCS bowl game, so they will do everything they can to get them in that game. Bottom line, USC being ranked #7 is highway robbery to other teams that deserve that ranking and deserve to be ranked higher than them.

Wait till they hit a team or two with a strong rushing attack and slightly above average defense.

It sounds crazy, but I can see Toby Gerhardt picking up 150 yds and a couple scores.

I gotta look at USCs schedule for the rest of the year. The way they have been playing so far, if any good team comes in to play them, they have ability to beat USC. Just need to check and see if USC plays anybody this year. Unfortunitly the way the pollers love USC, it seems they could lose 4-5 games and they would still be in a BCS game. Just a shame. I'd be willing to bet if there was a playoff system, USC wouldn't get far. Of course they would play teams like Hofstra, Helen Keller school for the deaf/blind and william and mary, whos just two people and ones a woman.

USC has had really good teams the past few years, I think that's a factor.

When a team is as good as USC is for as long as they were, it takes a while for everyone to agree that they aren't that good anymore.

But we can all agree here they certainly are not.

Im very interested to see how they respond to Johnson's injury.
