Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Polamalu has been bothered with his ankle injury for weeks and he wasn't able to practice this week.
"I'll say one thing; he's a great player," Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis said. "If he can't play that's a big loss for them because he makes a lot of plays and he's a leader for them."
Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery wasn't buying it.
"He's playing," he said. "He's one of the toughest guys in the league. I expect him to be out there. Everyone on this team expects him to be out there. Whatever is in question right now, I got a feeling come game-time he'll be out there."
Tight end Heath Miller (concussion) returned to practice Friday and is listed as questionable. He had a full practice and has been cleared to be on the field.
Miller suffered a setback in his recovery from a concussion that sidelined him last week during Thursday's practice.
Defensive end Aaron Smith remains out with a triceps tear. Defensive tackle Steve McClendon is out with a stinger.
"They could have five or six missing starters," Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards said. "But if we don't execute, or we don't do the things that we've been coached to do, or the things we designed against these guys, it won't matter if [Polamalu] plays or not."
