Trent Edwards, what do ya think?

Edwards is a sexy sleeper pick heading into the season with the addition on TO. His ADP at the moment is fantastic and makes a great value. However, as with most of the hyped players, their stock seem to rise as the summer temperatures do the same. So right now he's in the 10th, what is he starts to climb to the 9th....what about 8th?? Where is he still a good value at?

Also, this is a guy who played 14 games and only had 11 TD's with 10 Int's...is TO the answer for him? Is he the man for Buffalo or will he continue to struggle no matter who the WR's are?

What are your thoughts on Edwards for 2009?

A Qb #2 as late as you can get him. I won't consider springing for him though until round 10, and I have a few guys in front of him. Hass and Delhomme are in the same zip code, and I also consider Flacco his equal

I've stated before I like Edwards this year. Without TO he'd still be a darkhorse of mine going into this season. I think last year he started out hot largely due to his defense still playing hard. After a chorus of injuries he was forced to make plays which at this point in his young career is trouble.

Enter TO who plans on using Buffalo as his "celebrity rehab". He fully intends on playing a few more years but now knows his bs isn't something teams will overlook. Hell. the ringmaster himself Jerry Jones got tired of his crap so that should tell you something. Nope, I don't see the usual drama kicking up for a while which in my mind translates into at least 6 weeks of solid production for Edwards. solid #2.

NO way. Flacco is not even close. Consider the weapons and the offense.
I took another look and stand corrected on Flacco vs. Edwards. Their stats were similar last year, but Edwards acheived it in 2 less games and gains a headache this year, who can score. I will still grab Hass or Delhomme first. That's the best I can do for ya kid! :) Thanks for the comment that made me take a second look!

Bills | Edwards eager to prove himself Tue Jun 9, 11:23 PM
The Associated Press reports that QB Trent Edwards is spending extra time after practice working with receivers Lee Evans and Terrell Owens and he has embraced 2009 as a "make or break year".
Our view: The article states that Bills offensive coordinator Turk Schonert has added more no huddle and three and four wide receiver sets. Edwards has a chance to be one of the surprise fantasy QBs of the season if the changes take, but he must stay healthy - something that has been a problem throughout his career.

Thanks for thowing this up there, Miller! I LOVE Edwards in the 10th. Like RC said though, I'm not going to even look for a #2 QB until the 10th round, regardless if his ADP rises. If he's available there, he's an absolute steal!

Color me as an unbeliever right now. This offense has always been predicated on run first mentality of the HC. With Lynch ( when actually able to play) and Jackson and Rhodes...I see them running alot.

Now, I hear rumors of no huddle and such...and if they could...that would be incredible...but I just don't see it with Edwards.

I actually hope I am wrong...as I think Lynch could fit the Thurman Thomas role...and Evans and Owens are equal in Wr abiltiy at Reed and company back when Buffalo was successful and in 4 superbowls.

I think Edwards could benefit from going to the no huddle offense that the Bills are reportedly working on, and the addition of T.O. although i dont care much for his cancerous attitude T.O. is an upgrade from last years receiving corps.

Wow, a no huddle offense would increase his value, IMO. I wouldn't take him higher than 10, like I said, because I refuse to grab a #2 QB before that, but I like him more and more as a #2 guy.

does he have the mental capacity to handle a no huddle successfully? That would be my concern....
