Trade Review: Sanchez for Schaub?

hehehe...heheheh..hehe...
I have an owner that is looking to upgrade at QB and he's offered me Mark Sanchez and his 1st round rookie pick in next years draft for Matt Schaub. I'm tempted to take this as I see him finishing about 7th in a 10 team league which gives me at least a top 4 pick next year as well as a serviceable QB in return. Want to make sure you all think Sanchez gives me a quality backup behind Tony Romo (my starting QB). Am I getting enough value for Schaub?

Matt Schaub HOU
Ricky Stanzi KC
Jon Kitna DAL

I'm inclined to stick with my current roster. I thought about countering for Sanchez and V. Jackson for Schaub.
 
I would make the trade. Sanchez is young and will get better and having Romo, you're going to be fighting who to start every week between he and Schaub.

Also... Think of who will be available next season rookie wise... a couple that come to mind, Jefferys, Blackmon, Luck... There should be some value at that 7th spot.

Makes sense now, but I would try for just a bit more. That #1 next year could be real nice, but this is a now world. He would get better now!
 
I'm always disinclined to do a multi player deal for a player...seems to always be a slew of crap for talent that leaves my roster. If I stick with his #1 pick and Sanchez (he first offered me Cassel, and he has Orton) I'm not sure what else I could ask for off his roster. I supposed I could try for one of his lb's like Vilma or Ruud but he's got some serious man love for them both. No way he gives up the likes of V Jackson or M Manningham. So to add more on top at this point that would make me better now is kind of tough.

Then i wouldn't help an opponent get better this year.
 
It's always a balancing game in the dynasty format. I'd be getting younger at QB, potential for a young stud in the draft next year (or proven quantity if I trade the pick). I feel like I wouldn't be making this guy that much better from week to week (he's still not a power house with lots of work to do) and it doesn't really hurt me that much unless Romo gets broke in half again. I does make my depth at QB suspect is the problem.

Bottom line, I need to be sure I'm maximizing my value in Schaub.
 
And the Outlaws have spoken LOL thanks guys...this is why I post stuff like this. I need a sanity check sometimes.
