I'm pretty sure I'll start Torain but wondered what y'all thought.

Torain plays Green Bay, a good defense but only 23rd against the rush. Plus they're banged up a bit. I went out and got this guy off of the waiver wire because I like his upside. My biggest fear is that the Pack jumps on the Skins and takes the ball out of Torains hands.

Big Bush plays the Chargers ranked 7th against the rush. I expect Bush will get more touches and that's what gives me reason to ponder. I felt he was the better back in Oakland when I drafted but fate found a way of stepping in. Even if the Chargers jump on the Raiders I expect Bush will still get 20 plus attempts.

Either play, I feel is a decent #2RB for the week. What say you Outlaws?

This could almost be one of those "close calls", and I really think its a win-win situation in either case for a #2 back.

But in the end, I think Washington will also try to pound the ball a lot. Last week vs Philly they came out running, and I expect the same vs GBay. Even if GBay takes a huge lead, the first 2-3 drives for Washington should have quite a few runs called on them, and I suspect Torain ends up with 15+ touches.

Oh Puh-leez,

You got this guy off the waiver wire for the same reason EVERYBODY got this guy off the wire.

...cuz Portis got injured and he might play a little.

You make it sound like there was a plethora of quality pick-ups available but you choose Torain for his "upside". :biglaugh:

Anyway, Id go with him vs. GB but beware the injury.

Actually I picked him up before Portis was knocked out Tekie (10/1/10) but it was with the expectation that he would go down sooner rather than later. Then there's also Blount (9/29/10) sitting on my bench after getting the first team snaps during the bye week for the Bucs. He too could be a quality #3 starter this week. So yeah I'd say there were a few quality pickups to be had if you know what you're doing or, as in my case, get lucky.

I'll dissent and say play Big Bush for the reason you hesitate about Torrain: number of carries. I think Green Bay opens up a can on Wash and abandons the run. We know Oakland will run the ball to keep the game close so Busg should be good for 25 touches. I think he runs with a purpose and has a great game.

Id have to go with Bush also. Oakland has o good running game going right now and Bush and McFadden will be battling through injuries every other week so they want to perform when they are in there. But I think Torain will be valuable down the road I just want to see him on the field for more than 20 snaps first. The guy runs standing straight up big injury concern, ( but I have him too.)

Torain or Bush in week 5? To answer this question it looks like Michael Bush is in line for a heavy workload. For this game it will be Bush and only Bush! Oakland’s next 5 games are against west coast teams, while Torain has some nice looking match ups in the next four games. The big problem is if the game gets out of hand vs the Packers or against the Colts than we will not see the running game and Torain may not even be their 3rd down back.

Though it was made light of earlier in the thread I like what I see as the upside of Torain. IMO he has a chance to blow up where Bush will give you steady production. If one of these guys is going to score 30 or more I'd say it would be Torain and that's why he's still in my lineup this morning.

I'd like to thank each of you for your help as I've bounced this around in my mind for days now. Good luck to most of you in the games today.

If I had of went with BB ole "E" would need 37 from Moss tonight to tie me but going with Torain Moss needs 23 to tie.
