cbssports.com,
Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said Wednesday that RB Clinton Portis will miss four to six weeks with a third degree separation of his groin muscle. "It's a temporary setback. These things happen during the season," Shanahan said. Ryan Torain is expected to start in Portis' place.
Analysis: With 70 rush yards and a touchdown last week against the Eagles, Torain proved that he can be a quality back for the Redskins. Expect him to see at least 15 touches per week with them and potentially keep the starting job even when Portis returns from his groin injury. His Week 5 opponent, the Packers, rank just 24th vs. the run but have given up just two touchdowns on the ground through four weeks with no 100-yard games against them. That spells some trouble for Torain, but the opportunity to load up on the ground will be there. Consider Torain a No.2 Fantasy RB for this matchup and going forward, especially once the Redskins' offensive line gets healthy.

(RotoWire) Portis will be out 4-6 weeks with a third-degree groin separation, the Washington Post reports. Analysis: Portis' painful sounding injury will open the door for Ryan Torain to start at running back for the Redskins in the coming week. About the only positive here is that the initial timetable presented suggests that Portis (who will not need surgery) has a solid shot to return before the end of the season.

Keep an eye out for Keiland Williams who the Skins brought back to their practice squad this week after having released him.

they released him for a reason... not too concerned with him (being a Torain owner and all... :)

A couple of fumbles could bring Williams back into play in a hurry. But I'm with you, as a Torain owner I wish him nothing but the best.
